What are you UK smokers going to do when smoking is banned in public places next year?

Answers:
They are all going outside ! FANTASTIC NEWS.
trying to give up now.
they'll likely smoke outside like the scottish do!
Go in a private place..?

Although I don't smoke, and yes I do think it's a good idea
Give up I spose..
It's about time I did anyway, and thats the shove I need!
Stop passively killing all the non-smokers of course!
It's already been banned in Scotland for the past 6 months and it's great.

Not

Now we have to put up with bloody drunks loitering about the doorways of pubs smoking the bit out and being a general pain in the ar se.

Free country my ar se.
The Irish smoke outside and are used to it now.
still smoke

were british
Give me the initiative to give up hope! Like most people, so where the government will get it's money from then, gawd knows!
They will probably raise taxes on other things and hit the non-smoker in the pocket!
I guess i will end up getting fined
Move to the states where you can still smoke.
Maybe they will all sit in their cars with the engines running polluting the air both ways.
Banned here in Canada this year, People are adjusting!
We are having the same problem in the U.S. My friend (who is a non-smoker) said that us smokers will have to band together and protest like the black people did to get anything done about it. The only problem is people are just too accepting of it. I am mad because drinking kills alot more innocent people than cigarettes and they are not slowing down their advertisements at all!
well jon i would smoke in front of the owners face and blow smoke on their face. however i dont smoke so it doesn't matter to me.
im a smoker myself but i do repect other people who are not so no smoking in public places banned thats fine i will either give up or smoke in my home,no problem
smoke outside, no big deal.
We will have to use patches when we go for a beer
stay in.and only go out to get more smokes.because them public places are dangerous.
Get a ticket to fly on Smintair and go somewhere where people are more tolerant, perhaps Asia, I think.
I wonder if we can buy extra duty free ciggies on Smintair?

Find a light and burn it bright!"
The samething we do out here in NYC, take a cigarette break and smoke outside or in the privacy of your own home.

*cigarettes aren't good for you anyway, maybe you guys should consider quitting*
I think I will sue the government for abuse of my human rights like the heroin addicts who were in prison did.
I hope to have quit by then so the liberal cryptofascists can persecute someone else
stand outside like leppers
As a smoker and having recently visited Scotland (Edinburgh) I was surprised at how pleasant it was in bars etc without smoking. I personally smoked less and hardly noticed any cravings as nobody else around me was indulging, also my clothes did not stink of stale tobacco. I saved money on cigarettes and laundering. I doubt I will give up though, but I'll certainly smoke less. I perversely look forward to the ban.
its all ready banned in Scotland. the smokers just stand outside.the public place does not cover outside in the street.
Yep they charge us loads of tax on cigarettes then tell us where we can and can not smoke them,,oh well it will give the none smokers less to moan about and hopefully i can become one of them!! a none smoker that is..
sit in the toilets and all take drugs (it would be fun to c how the gov would deal with tat)!! i dont know?anyway wot the feck is going on, no smoking, no ba ba black sheep, it is all a joke.. what will happen if you do smoke, will u get a fine, or go to prison or what. can u picture it two blokes in a cell wot " wot u in for?"
"smoking, yeah i was the cause of thousands of death because of passive smoking, how about you".. nutters. everyone who smokes know drink and fags go hand in hand!!!
