Where do I go to look for fabric in London for custom made curtains?
i would like to recover some cushions as well. I just have no idea where to start. I live in Kensington.
Answers:
John Lewis is good. Wouldn't recommend Soho because the fabric is way overpriced. If money is an issue, there are lots of fabric shops in Shepherds Bush somewhere (Gold something road), or even cheaper is Walthamstow Market and fabric shop on the high street.
I've just realised that you live in Kensington so maybe money isn't a problem?!
E1 Bethnal Green area, Curry House Street can't remember the name of the street
Hi well I don't live in London but try John Lewis on Oxford Street, they have a pretty good range. good luck
Berrick Street has a few material shops, there is always places like Sanderson's but you would need to find the address, for really out of this world material I would recommend Liberty's, could try Laura Ashley at Oxford Street the Marble Arch end.
There are the various markets you might like to try, or what about Notting Hill or Harvey Nicks in Kensington or Harrods if you are in the mood for a big spend.
Good luck and hope you find what you want.
