I am renting some room in I have people from UK said They will send me the money ?
but I have to send them, the rest of the money back a cashier check will be issue in my name, in the cashier check will come from U.S.A do any one know if this can be a scan?please let me know soon.

danella dont do it i almost got scammed by putting something up fo sale & hhe wanted me to send the rest of the money of to some ficticious name luckily for me i spelt the name wrong and i got my money back & the check bounced so please dont do it

Yes it is a SCAM and the check is counterfeit. You will be on the hook to the bank for the $$ long after those people have vanished.

I'm guessing someone wants you to send them money for a rented room via a cashiers check and it does sound very worrying if i understand right.
Generally don't send anyone money unless they are a friend or family or it'll be the last you see of it.
Can't you pay by credit card and then you'll have some cover if things go wrong?
THis sounds like it's one of those scams that they have someone cash a check for them and then send them the ""extra amount"" from the check..and then you find out the check bounced and you owe money...
You could even get yourself in a lot of trouble..DON"T DO IT!
And you need to contact authorities and show them the check. They can look into it and see for sure if it's a scam.
