I have a business developing websites but i have....?

Little experience in getting sales in ..how can I best get more work?

Answers:
Hmm, you have a business but no sales? Is this business actually afloat or is it just a business idea?

You need to advertise your services until you're blue in the face, and have samples to impress! Get some work up on your own domain and search engines such as Google will pick it up in a short while, or you can purchase advertisement space on Google or other popular web sites. Post adverts in magazines and the paper, in local shops for 20p a week, etc.

Oh and I think you need CSS near the top of your technologies list, right under xhtml (which should be at the top!)
i need a website can u help ?if so how much?

You can advertise in the local paper, or local business magazine (see if your Chamber of Commerce has a publication) or you can tout your business round ad/PR/marketing agencies to see if they can offer you some freelance work.

I understand that the first few clients are the hardest to get but you need to think stategically. Which market do your potential clients work in? Are they 'general' or more specific? If they are in specific areas, target the marketing manager and push to do a presentation.

You could also advertise in specific press (there must be magazines for web developers) - it may be costly, but if you get a couple of good clients, it will pay for itself.

The best of luck!
The competition in this field is imense. People are charging £20 for a basic page nowadays and you can put a 5 page site up for £150 or £350 for a flash version.

You need to target a particular market, councils, schools and move into networking aswell. Money is not in designing and putting up a sight, but actually in maintaining it.

Local businesses are a good place to start aswell. Make some samples of sites and show people what you are capable of doing for them.
