My cat went to sleep.........

then woke up limping!!

he just would not put any weight on his front left paw!....

(walking on 3 legs!)

this has lasted a few days!......

now....walking without any problem!

why?

Answers:
Maybe he slept with it tucked under him and woke up with it asleep. Glad the problem went away!
maybe it was dislocated and went back in place. just guessing
He probably slept on it wrong, just like humans can get a sore neck and then rest it and it goes away.
might have traped a nerve or tendon in its leg try rubbing its leg if it will let you if not take it to the vets for a check up
it could be the foot was asleep or it had a thorn or any sharp object stuck in its foot and it just simply fell out later on
Just like people when got up could have sprained his paw-definitely no fracture for would not heal that fast and would not be able to walk on it.
Are you sure before the sleeping the cat couldn't have pulled a muscle or strained a tendon then went to sleep?

That's what it sounds like, a minor pull or strain since the cat's on all fours now.

Anything can happen once, but if it happens again, check with vet.
Sounds like your cat is a hypochondriac, Santa. He's playing for the sympathy vote, hoping he'll get extra prezzies. I dunno, maybe it was a trapped nerve or muscle problem
ur cat must have injured himself maybe by falling, and u didn't notice it right away. if he's not limping anymore . no worries!
The damage was probably done before the animal went to sleep. depending on the animals age will determine how long it will be in pain for. It takes more time for our bodies to heal as we get older. Thanks for not panicking and taking the cat to the vet for an expense you can well do with out. Way to go!!
Your reindeer probably trod on it
have you ever woke up with a really stiff knee or neck because you slept on either wrong .it usually takes a day or more to get over it but if your still worried take fluffy to the vet.
Probaly slept on it funny, like we do sometimes.
As he slept, a scale probably had time to loosen and shed and when he stepped on it, it stuck in the skin.He probably got it when you weren't looking.
maybe his foot was hurt and he didn't feel like walking on it
your cat may have arthritis have it checked out by vet
he probably has a pinched nerve form the way he was sleeping.try massaging the area.
perhaps it was just cramp, you know, slept with too much weight on that leg for too long or something, and the cramp lasted a little longer than normal.
us humans get it, so why cant animals?
the cats ok now, and thats the main thing.
cats do get cramp like us when we get it hurts and is sore for a few days after perhaps he had cramp.
sounds like he had a bad dream get him checked out at the vets just to be safe
Probably just got a dead leg or pins n needles , like people sometimes do.
Hi sure the cat will be fine but if worried go to the vet
