Is my cat fitting?
Its like he's scared...he dashes about but loses all control, running into things, falling over, today he even wee'd.all whislt running around at 100mph. Its as if he is just scared out of his mind and all his limbs lose they're proper function.
I have taken him to the vets but it is hard to describe and they don't really know. It is worrying me. After this happens it takes him about a day to get over it..he just goes and hides in a dark place and stay's there.
Any idea's what's happening?

It sounds like your kittie might have a nervous disorder. If that's the case then you need to try and find a vet that understands and can help your little guy. In the mean while I would try to see if there is a pattern to when it happens or might happens right before that may trigger these "fits". If you see any patterns then you may be able to help him out. Also, if you are able to see one of these fits coming on then have a safe place you can take him to immediatly so he won't hurt himself or your home. I hope for the best and I think that finding a vet that can diagnosis your kittie will be the best thing for him.
Your cat has epilepsy, the same as a human gets. Take him/her to the vet, and describe the symptoms to the vet. He will prescribe medication for the epilepsy. I hope this helpd.
It could have ADD or ADHD> No lie. Cats can have human disease. Can your cat have access to a garden or place where plants grow? Maybe your cat is eating something that makes it spazz.
You have a right to be scared. if my cat did that, id never leave it alone. I hope you cats alright!
Yes, it has a disease and the only solution is lead poisoning.
I think you need to persist with the vet, though it is a dificult job and there are lots of good vets about, there are also too many bad ones in my experience. ask around locally amoungst other cat owners maybe ask one to have a look if they live close you could call them when it happens.
Give him a fuss from me, poor little mite.
My dog has epilepsy and it is just like what you have described. It's like she doesn't know who we are anymore and doesn't klnow who she is. She often wees or poos when she's having a fit. She can also become aggressive. Apart from the medication that she's on (prescribed by the vet), the advice we've been given is that when she's having a fit you should turn out all of the lights, close the curtains etc, stop anything that's making a noise tv etc and just let her be calm. Anything that could distract her, light, noise etc, will scare her more so try just to cut everything like that out. Hope everything is ok with your cat, I know how worrying it can be. But my dog is on medication and hasn't had a fit in a few months now (touch wood) and there's no reason why your cat shouldn't be fine if it is epilepsy.
Does he attack and bite u, then be the most loving cat in the world? If so keep on to the vet. My mums cat is the same. It's a disorder. It needs tablets every month or so. Hope this helps.
Does anyone in your house use Diazepam or Valium? Some sedatives have this effect on cats.
Or it could be epilepsy.
He really needs to see a vet. If yours is no help then ask for a referral for a second opinion or change vets because this isn't rare or untreatable.
But it can't be treated before it is properly diagnosed.
