(NOT about god) - how can something be true purely through belief?
In the secular world there is a saying/doctrine that something is true if you believe in it enough. It is a lie!
Even a song ". . . . what you believe is true. . . . "
And people believing in themselves enough "they can do anything" Shyte, difficult things are overcome in common (or uncommon!) sense ways.

its all about context, if you believe something then it is true in your mind, although it may not be in reality.
come on iv'e seen loads of people fly just go to the airport. man wanted to fly and he did. no one stipulated how these obsticles would be overcome just that if you want it bad enough you can make it happen
This statement means that there are certain things you can make happen if you believe you can.
Courage. confidence. happiness. are things that a person can create within themselves if they just believe that they can.
It's all about self esteem.
It does NOT mean that you can fly if you think you can. Many a dope-filled young person has met their death by jumping out of a window.
your not putting it to the test so how can you say its shite, truth is only there to realise what falsehood is.
Boy, you do need a check up.
this is a good question, I'm sat here trying to think.
i can only use a cognitive example; fact opinion guess..
people believe things are true, but truth has to be based on fact, however most times people adhere to others and their own opinion and adopt it as truth, with out looking into or wanting to know if it is factual or not and many assumptions on something being true is guess work.. I think, and its just a thought, that if you are told something enough and hear it enough then it become truth through belief.. and if you believe that some thing is true long enough, you don't want to hear that it is not. does this make any sense?
