A Bird has just crashed into my house window its bounced off and laid twitching anything i can do?
Answers:
Put it in a cardboard box for shelter . it's happened a couple of times here and once with some kind of impressive falcon type hunting bird . it depends on how badly it is stunned and what damage has been done, if nothing too bad it should come round within 12 hours and be able to hop or fly away.
And BTW even if it looks dead it may not be . look closely and you should be able to see it move ever so slightly as it breathes.. the falcon looked dead .. neck looked snapped but within a few hours it swept away with an awesome swoooooosh.
You're lucky you have your window in one piece . ours was smashed!
Give it CPR.
let it be...it happens
If its ok, then just leave it there. (e.g. he flies or she flies away). Or if not, maybe its dead already, idk sorry.
Hit it with a spade.
close your eyes and stamp on its head.you doingit a favour
Snap its neck!
make a little coffin out of a shoe box?
no leave it be, its probably in shock and needs to find its bearing again
Finish it off so it does not suffer
no leave it alone it is just knocked senseless for a while it will get up and fly away if you leave it alone
more than likely, it just knocked the air out of itself and will be better off if you just leave it alone. I used to work for this store, and we had them hit the windows all the time and pretty soon they would stand up and look aroud like man I hope nobody saw that and then fly off.
I would leave it alone, it probably just had the wind knocked out of it and will fly away as soon as it gets its bearing back. If you try to touch it, it may get frightened and hurt itself trying to get away from you.
THEY ARE WILD LIFE THEY CAN TAKE CARE OF THERE SELF
Leave it alone, they are covered in lice and will run up your arm! The bird might have a broken neck if it does it will die. If it doesn't then it just stunned itself and will get up and fly off. Good luck.
It's either been mortally wounded or it's temporarily stunned. Give it a few minutes and see what happens. If it stops moving altogether, dig a grave, baby.
sorry.not much you can do here.leave it alone and see if it flies away.if you have any pets keep them away from it
Call the humain society and maybe they can save its life!
Call a vetenarian. If it still moves that is. if not..
well. call the vet. orrrrr scoop it up and put it into the woods. i sugest the vet.
Not really i'm afraid, if you were to ring the rspca the chances are that they would tell you to leave it to nature. I have found an ill bird before and rang them for advice and they told me that there was nothing I or they could do, was most upsetting. Its worth a go though, if you want to try ringing them.
Not much really. Put in a box and bring it in out of the way of cats etc and wait. I am sorry but most of the time they die, but (depending on how hard they hit the window, ) some do get over it.
This used to happen to us since we had a large picture window. Sometimes the bird will be ok after a while, sometimes its neck or wing could be broke. Not much you can do.
If it is still alive you can take it to the vet to get checked out, but to pick it up you will need a thick towel, and a shoe box with holes in it. If it is not moving and it is not breathing with that same towel, I would put it in a plastic sack and either bury it real deep to keep other animals from digging up or put it in the trash and hope the dogs don't get to it. you want to dispose of it due to the disease it can carry.
If this happens often, put up a large dark cut-out of an owl with its wings spread. It will discourage the birds from the window. Sorry, I hate it when that happens. I hope it's alive and flies away, if its there too long a cat will eat it.
I found a bird tangled in telephone wires, so climbed up and tried to get it loose. I couldn't, so i climbed down and got a tennis racket.
If you decide to kill it, make sure you don't miss with the first swing. They freak out and it stays with you for a day or two. also, birds have way move blood in them than i thought they did.
Call the window cleaner.
What a bunch of sick f-ers. Federally, there is a law that saws you cannot pick up and move any bird.some bird migration act. But I have heard of companies that can help. Check online to see if there is one available in your area.

We had a bird do this one time and here is what we did.
First we gently picked up the bird and then we trickled some cool water down the back of it's head to go down the back. We then tried to get some water in it's mouth with a medicine dropper. Just a couple of drops at a time though. We then set it up high enough so that it wouldn't get harmed from any other animals. Luckily we found out the poor thing had only been stunned. If this doesn't help out you may want to contact a vet they are the ones that gave us the tips we did. Your bird may be more hurt than ours was though because the one we had didn't do any twitching. Good luck to you.
what did she looklike what are her stats, i wish it was my window
