My grass carp is swimming vertical and upside down what is wrong?

it can not swim the right way up

Answers:
Sounds definately like a swim bladder problem.I wouldnt take it to your vets because theres not much they can do for it. However if you pop down to your local pet store or any aquarium place there are a wide selection of water treatments that get rid of the problem. I wouldnt worry too much but dont let the problem go on for longer than it needs to. I think Interpet and KingBritish have treatments for swimm bladder.

One of my fish has the same problem at the moment. Just get the water treatment and repeat the dosage with a water change after a week.
may have a problem with his swim blader take to vet to ask wat exactly is wrong
its DEAD!!hahaha!!i dont really know what the problem is i m experienced with animals but have never seen that before
some fish eat too fast and ingest air while doing so. This can cause them to float upside down. They burp and then its over.
make some chip
The treatments for this don't really solve the problem.
I kept a pond carp suffering from a swim bladder disease in isolation in the house all last winter, treated it as instructed by the remedies, but it didn't improve, and after 6 months I "put it out of it's misery"
I would love to be able to offer you hope that it will improve, but if it hasn't recovered within a couple of weeks I would call it a day and give it a decent funeral.
Sorry - it hurts.
He has obviously been into the wrong kind of grass.
I see grass carp like this in the wild around fishing docs and they frequently swim like this. I personally think it's some sort of disease. They're very fragile critters..
It's probably drunk ........ give it a drink of water!!!
it's sick
It's probably an Australian grass carp. It will be OK when it gets used to the Northern Hemisphere.
ohhhhhhhh its dyin
it may have an infection or something in its swimbladder,go to the garden center and see if you can get some treatment for it . i know you can get it for tanks because i had the same problem with my fish tank if you cant find it ask some one in the garden centre other wise go to the vet and ask them for treatment i dont think youll have to take the fish .. good luck
