All true cat-lovers talk to their cats- its only unusual when they answer you in English
It depends what you say to him. If you say hear kitty kitty its normal. If you ask him where hes going later and what he wants for his supper time for the men in white coats... LMFAO
No, but getting answered by the cat would be.
no I think everyone who loves their cat does it! my cat likes to hear the sound of my voice, and loves it most of all when I sing quietly to her when she's on my lap!
I don't think so. My cats are probably having an identity crisis, because I have so many different names for them other than there own.
To the best of my knowledge, I've never spoken to your cat.
god no, thats great, it shows you love your cat, its like your friend
not unusual i do it all the time
i have one cat and two dogs i love them very much i talk to them all the time and sometimes they give me a look that says i no. and sometimes they give me a look like what the hell are you talking about. but i think i would not want to be a pet and live with someone who did'nt talk to me.
nah. your cat is really popular. ;)
No.
i talk to my cat all the time. but he only meows to me when hes after something.
Nope. In fact, it's very useful.
Talking is the way we communicate; communicating with a pet is a good idea. She can't understand your words (or most of them, anyway), but your tone of voice will tell her what she needs to know.
A well-socialized cat is usually a well-behaved cat. because she knows more easily what you want her to do.
No, In fact when I am talking on the phone to someone my cat start miaowing. We don't understand them, they don't understand us, but they do respond.
of course its not odd, most people talk to their pets. after all pets are usually treated as members of the family, and the good thing about it is that you can't have arguments with cats, you can just talk at your own free will!
Nope, not at all. I do it myself.
No its perfectly normal. the cat cannot understand the words but can understrand the tone of your voice and feeling behind it just like you understand the rrrrrr as it runs up to you for a cuddle is hellow hug me
No not at all when I am like really sad like when someone like gets mad at me then you know I would cry right? well then my cat would come to me and I would tlak to him and I always talk to my favorite toy.. I know that is really weird talking to my favorite toy but yeah
Hell NO!
It's not unusual at all.
I often chat with mine, normally "Will you please move, I want to sit there". To which the reply is a rather short 'meow' (that obviously means NO) as he then spreads out further!
Hi there..definately not! People love talking to their cats because they don't descriminate against you if something said is terrible about someone or something. You could go on about nothing and they still will take interest with whatever you're saying. Cats do receive information from your conversation too: praise, comfort, and a sense of security. You can also tell a great deal about what cats want or how they are feeling simply by the look in their eyes or their reaction to things. Are your cat's ears twitching in your direction like satellite dishes when you are speaking? He or she is absorbing everything you are saying. It's healthy to talk to your cat because they will listen to anything you want to share with them.
not at all - I always do.

not unusual at all and cats talk back you just need to understand them, for example you must know the meow for my bowl is empty!!
