Yes, take it to a vet!
probably has earmites, get the cure at walmart, or the vet.
mittens, & put some antiseptic powder to stop that itch,
Tie their feet together
Advantage or maybe Frontline?
Check them for ear mites. If your cat has them, they need to be treated immediately! If left untreated, it could lead to alot of bad health problems or even death.
DO NOT use store brand treatments! And DO NOT try to clean the cat's ears with a Q-tip or anything small--and don't let your vet do that either! If the ear drum gets ruptured and the treatment medicine gets in there, your cat can die from it!
Your poor kitty probably has ear mites. You can't see ear mites but the cat will dig their ears like crazy. Go to the store and buy some ear mite remedy and some ear cleaner and see if that helps. If it doesn't work you may need to take the cat to the vet for ear mite medicine.
try using flea and tick drops
no . this is natural for them . my opion?
Probably ear mites. You can purchase drops at your local vet or WalMart. Failure to do so will cause cat's ear to hemmorhage and puff up like a dorito chip. Cat may go deaf if left untreated.
Do the inside of the ears look dirty?
If it is earmites, they will scratch until they bleed, and still scratch. Imagine if you had little bugs crawling in your ears. Just get some earmite medicine.
Yeah. put your boots on its paws.
yea, use glove for it.and be sure that it will not be removed by him CAT.i like cats.
They scratch because it itches. Find out why it's itching so bad. A cat shaking it's head and scratching it's ears repeatedly likely has ear mites. Your vet can correctly diagnose and give you medicine to treat. Ear mite treatment can also be found at pet supply stores, but I recommend having the vet check it out first as there could be an infection as well.
BTW-Frontline and Advantage are often successful at eliminating mild cases of earmites. Use it as directed and it will kill earmites - don't put it in the cats ears, just on the back between the shoulder blades.
if your cat is scratching its ears all the time , you should take it to the vet and see if it might have ear mites. i know from experience that if your cat or any pet has some odd behavior that is not their usual, they could have something wrong with them. my cat was acting really strange so i took her to the vet and found out she ate a piece of plastic string and that got caught and she would have died without treatment. it saved her life.
Ok so yes your cat could have ear mites. Does it look like there is dirt or coffee grounds in the ears, if so then it is ear mites. DO NOT ( I REPEAT) DO NOT GET OVER THE COUNTER EAR MITE TREATMENTS!!! These are not all safe for cats since they are very sensitive and I have seen cats have extreme seizures from over the counter products (and it was an ear cleaner for cats too!) Go to your local vet and talk to them. It could also be an ear infection (either yeast, bacteria, or both) or if your cat is an outdoor cat maybe something has gotten stuck in the ear. Please see your vet about this. If left untreated your cat could develop severe ear problems that can spread to you (ear mites) or cost you an arm and a leg in the end (with an ear infection if left untreated, the pet may need to be put under general anesthesia for an ear flush). But once again NO OVER THE COUNTER EAR MEDICATIONS !!
could be earmites
preventing the cat from scratching is of no use for the cat, it will get more irritated, scratching of the ear is a response to allergy ,may be some infection or some ear mite please check it out ,give a shower , or put some anti mite powders or else refer to a vet..please
This is cured very easily; take your cat to a vet; she has parasites in her ears and is in absolute agony.
