try horsetopia.com there's alot of good horses for reasonable prices although most of them are western there should be some jumpers. if wait till late winter to buy prices will be down way more than they are now
Get a donkey. They are funny.
Maintenance is too high to worry about cheap horses. If you cannot afford a good price how are you going to buy the hay, the feed, and pay the vet bills?

Exmoor or Dartmoor on a quiet night?
be careful buying a cheap horse, it may be cheap for a reason and end up costing you a fortune...
Try http:\\equinehits.com
You're not likely to find what you want "cheap" however.
To me cheap is $500 for a blind mare at the livestock auction.
You can get a cheap horse if it isnt very good! and there is a good reason why someone is getting rid of it for example.."would suit experienced rider" in other words goes like hell or needs someone who knows what they are at to keep the thing under control.
you could try rescue centres, some have horses. Otherwise go to a horse market although you wont really know what you are buying until its too late.
Buying a good horse is a must, if you cant afford to buy ones thats worth the money i personally wouldnt buy one at all.
there is no such a think as a cheap horse.even if someone gave it to you it would not be cheap. the buying price IS the cheap part. at 14 hands he might be able to jump a laundry basket but that's about all. jumpers are 16 or 17 hands. they don't have a lot of stamina and are not the best tempered of all horse.you might want to rethink what kind of horse you want and what you want to do with it...
Sorry but horses do not come cheap at all. I have 3 and I trained them all- western, english, jumping, jumping bare back etc. Plus i broke all 3 of them. And well they were $100,000 EACH. And i payed for it all, and still am. But there are excellent horses-but did not come that way.

There is no such thing as a cheap horse just a cheap owner who won't give them the high priced stuff they need. Vet bills, stabling, exercise, health care, food stuffs, grazing grounds. Expensive to own.
Looking for an expensive animal at a cheap price probably isnt the best idea. Even though some people will rip you off if you pay a high price, you have to be careful & smart. Ask around & try to find someone who sells horses & before you actually purchase it try to find some background information on their horses & see if anyone has any good or bad remarks on horses they have bought from them theirselves, reputations are everywhere & it's good to find someone with a good one that has a high price better then someone selling at low prices with a horrible reputation. Try online searches;; something well established will probably do you some good. I'm sure www.petfinder.com can help you find some locations & names. Good luck :]
