Why do people have dogs?
Next door neighbour has a Rottweiler and does not let it in house, he has no grass only a concrete yard, fireworks going off everywhere and it is barking like mad, poor animal is terrified, why do these people have pets.
Answers:
I have 2 dogs and a third that I take care of usually 3 or 4 days a week. I have them because they are like my children.I love dogs.sometimes I prefer their company to humans. They don't lie or cheat they are loyal and give you unconditional love. It makes me mad to see people with animals that they don't pay attention to and just leave them out all the time. I think it's selfish and not fair to the dogs. They get them they say for protection but if you never pay attention to a dog, then they may not only bite strangers but they may turn on the owner too if they haven't developed a relationship with the animal. It doesn't make sense to me to have a dog if you don't have any time to spend with them.
no point - silly buggers
Sometimes because they are pet lovers somtimes they get them as gifts why do you want to know anyway.
for protection maybe
I would get an Australian dingo I think. A strong small mutt. Quiet would be good too, just to cuddle with and pet. And for going for walks.

Some people don't have good since and should not have a dog of any kind. I have a little dog and she company for me since my husband is in the military and not home much and the children are grown and gone so that is why i have a dog.
Great solution to food shortages
Some people should not have pets.
Some people do not deserve pets..
Some pets are better than their owners.
Why *this* person has a dog? Well in the case of a Rottweiler who is never allowed inside, it's probably a trophy, a status symbol, a way of saying what a tough guy your neighbour is.
A reasonable person who takes care of their dog, has it vaccinated and obedience trained, and shares their life with it, is looking for unconditional love, acceptance and companionship such as you will never find outside the canine world.
People who mistreat dogs should come back as the rats they are.
thats animal cruelty yeah, have your neighbour arrested.
To some people, a dog is an accessory that goes with their look. They don't care less about it's health, just that it looks good on them when they go out with it.
Protection, company or maybe they're looking after it & don't know it very well. Fireworks often upset any dog - ours used to hide in the hall, where it couldn't see or hear anything. Thunderstorms had the same affect. If it's left in the yard, it might be a guard dog.
Unfortunately, many people have pets (especially dogs like Rottweillers) to serve as an extention to their ego. "I'm a big tough guy and I have a big tough dog."
Such people are rarely animal lovers, don't really care about their 'pet' and therefore treat it abominably. In my opinion, their pets should be taken from them and they should be banned from owning animals.
I don't know, but you should call the animal control.
Dunno. My sister in law and her husband have a large german shepherd, she's more like a bear than a dog, but surprisingly sweet natured . She lives in a small shed in their back garden. I have a black labrador who sleeps on my bed, which is perhaps going to the other extreme.
EASY "CAUSE WE DONT WANT KIDS" LAMO
That is a good question. People don't seem to realize that pets have needs and feelings. They tend to treat them just as property. The world will be a better place when this changes.
They sound uncaring and selfish. Did you report them to the spca? Why are fireworks being used in October?
call the r.s.p.c.a
now
I guess they think it is protecting their property.but why not just fit alarms instead of letting the poor animal live in misery and fear..It is ridiculous how some people who own animals think they are there just to be a deterrent to thieves...does this animal have access to shelter, water and food.if you are concerned for its welfare get in touch with the rspca, you don;t have to give your name, and voice your concerns..bless ya
Your right why do people have a dog to leave it outside all the time,it would drive me mad to see the poor animal,Ive had dogs and cats all my married life and looked after them,my kids are grown and left home and so Ive got two Tabby cats now.
Your neighbour is an idiot.
I guess he/she thinks of the dog as a burglar alarm rather than a pet.
In that case they should get a bloody burglar alarm and rehome the dog to someone who will look after it properly.
The same thing happened with those Rottweiliers that attacked and killed the little baby recently. They were not domesticated pets, they were guard dogs - bred to be vicious and kept outside. And then some idiot left the baby in a room where those dogs had access. I don't blame the dogs I blame the morons who had charge of that child and who owned the dogs. That need never have happened.
They should never have had those dogs there. They should have used a burglar alarm or something.
My collie lab X is an excellent burglar deterrant - soft and loving as anything really but barks like a mad thing if anyone so much as approaches the house when I'm here alone which is enough to scare off any unwanted callers or local kids messing about (they dont know that the most he's likely to do is jump up and lick them to death). I would NEVER leave him outside in the cold or when fireworks were going off! Its just callous to do so. Fireworks scare the sh.it out of dogs.
I'd phone the RSPCA and tell them about your neighbour's dog. They might pay this idiot a visit.
they dont know how to care about dogs!!
shame
they are morons. Call the RSPCA cruelty line.
