Cat Mollie and her kittens. She grabs eavh one and licks it but only in a perfunctory way. A sort of token lick, not the full car wash. Does this action kick-start the kitten's own instinct to clean itself, I wonder?

I have two adult cats and now have four kittens, one that is 11 weeks old and the other three are 15 weeks old. And I had them when they where 8 weeks old and able to look after them selves as the mother teaches them everything, as soon as the kittens start to eat wet or dry food they will learn to wash then selves.
