I know one person who claims that they've done it and it's true.

Yes many a drunk student has tipped cows, except perhaps possibly a friend who thought it was "sheep tipping". He got a nice bite which became infected and needed a course of antibiotics.

I used to work at an agricultural college, and the ag students would see if they could tip an entire sleeping herd over (no, but close).
the kids round our way do it often ..apparently you wait untill the cow is asleep (standing up) and then creep up on it and push it over ..it is like a statue toppling...

Oh yes! At Agricultural College we used to go cow tipping all the time! And sometimes paint them multi coloured etc!
