My sausage dog constantly licks the floor and the couch why?

He probably fancied a change from licking his ar$e and balls!
He can smell something maybe food or another pet or person. Put something on it like pepper to put him off.
Our dog does this also, it can be attributed to it smelling something that it likes, being taken away from its mother too early, or just pure boredom actually. The link below will probably provide some nice insight.

Probably the food you are giving him/her, doesn't taste good so he/she prefers to lick the couch or floor. Try changing the food!

He has probably picked up the scent of something he likes. If he's licking the sofa maybe someone sat there who owns their own pet, the opposite sex which he may like. I'd not suggest putting pepper on there, apparently this can irritate or even burn their noses!
