We r movin house ,how can i transport my afican gray safely?

Answers:
I bought a medium cat carrier for my TAG. I then drilled a hole in each side and put a dowel rod in it. He rode 270 miles in his carrier with no problems.
thats not a very nice way to speak about your grandma
all i could suggest as i presume it is a parrot you are talking about is that you cover the cage fully with a dark cloth to try and keep the bird as calm as possible
superglue peanuts to your ears then pop him on your shoulder, he will be entertained for hours!

I've done this with a Cockatiel, there are two ways:

- Place your bird in a box (with airholes), similar to when you bought it!

- (In my opinion the best way) Keep the bird in its usual cage, secure this in your car so it can't slide around & take it easy whilst driving, I moved mine twice this way and he didn't have any problems!

Good Luck
let it fly let it fly let it fly....... sorry im in musical mode today.
Asphixiate it, get it stuffed, then wrap it securely in bubblewrap.
Get one of those cat carriers. That's what i transport my parrots in. Don't keep him in the cage while you are moving it..as someone else suggested.he's going to panic in there.
I have carriers that I transport and ship them in..they are about 20 dollars at the shops. They are the best and safest way to move them about.
