IS my guppy ready to have it's fry?

i have put one of my fat fantail guppy's into a seperate floating marina tank im sure its pregnant due to size and brown marks on belly!
she usually stays at top of marnia but all day has been resting on the bottom of the base divider! is this what they do when getting ready to give birth?
i have also noticed another free swimming guppy at the bottom of the tank so wondered if this was also pregnant or maybe ill, as they usually are always top swimmers in my tank!

Guppys are like rampant rabbits...you dont seem to have much weed for hiding in....as we speak you have babies....get some more weed for them to hide in ....whoopie doos
hmmm. when they're ready to give birth they'll flap their fins really fast. But i'm not sure what's going on with your guppies.

just to be safe do a 10-20% partial water change. Add 1 teaspoon of aquarium salt per gallon of water. That'll improve the health of most fish.. And guppies like a little salt naturally in their habitat.
Yep, I agree with the other person comment. I normally put lots of plants doesn't matter they're artificial. Just try them to be with possibilities for the fry to hide including some of the surface. If some are eaten, that's life but the survivor would be the very best.
A lot of fish get really stressed being in those little floating containers and maybe that's why she is acting like that. Sometimes they actually abort the pregnancy because they are so stressed. But since you have another fish that is doing the same thing check your water params and make sure something isn't off.
Maybe the new tank water hadnt matured enough.. a little shock to the guppy.

Just a thought.
maybe
If your guppy has been in a tank with male guppies I would be very surprised if it's not about to give birth, they give birth about every two weeks. If you want to save any of the young you will need to have plenty of plants in the aquarium because they will eat their young. Floating plants are good. They are called the millions fish and were introduced all over the tropics to help control mosquito's they eat the larvae of mosquito's.
never fry a guppy always grill them
Possibly, get plenty of plants in your tank, for the mothers to give birth in, and for the fry to hide.
Check around the fishs backside. When she's ready to drop you can sometimes see the little babies eyes inside her.
Good luck
when a female guppies is ready to drop her fry her graved spot gets really dark black her belly will sorta flatten out on the bottom making her look like a box and she will some what stop eating and will stay manly to the bottom and will try to avoid others in the tank also they will flutter there fins a lot with out going anywhere u need lot's of floating fern's or something thick like that to help the fry hide in and you need to feed them crushed up fish food. crush it tell its powder. guppy's will spawn every 21 to 31 days depending on the fish and once pregnant can have several spawning with out a male because they store sperm
