If you haven't already taken the dog to the vets now might be the time to do so - dogs teeth and saliva contain alot of germs so he could have an infection from a bite.
Try cleaning it with warm salt water, rub on some savalon and keep the area dry and clean with a gauze dressing. If the area is hot and tender to the touch you really should get him down the vets for an injection and antibiotics.

Sorry to hear, maybe take 'em to the vet?
maybe he has been chewing it or scratching it or maybe its just bruised take him to the vet just to be sure there is no really bad damage
Awww.. give him a big sloppy kiss from me and my dog.
Take him to the vet.
you really should take him to the vet to be checked out. maybe he gott bit on his tail and it's becoming infected or something.
Oh, your poor dog. My dog was in a fight with a pitbull once and had to limp around.and that was during camping! Well, anyways, for your dog, I'd suggest that if it's too sore and you see your dog is really uncomfortable, take him to a vet. Better to be safe than sorry.
take your doggie to the vet to get it checked out, possibly nothing but wouldnt hurt to check it out (: good luck
As a dog owner, it is your responsiblity to take your dog to the vet when it needs medical attention. Faliure to do so can get you a fine and jail time.
What happened? Did he get bit in the *** while running away?
it could be broken take him to a vet
why havent you taken him to a vet.there could be bruising or punctures in his tail and he will worry it and make it sore.he may need antibiotics
put some sudocrem on it,
did he win?
Dogs tails are very sensitive, and it sounds like your dog's tail got damaged. I had the same problem with my dog . The trouble is the dog won't leave the tail alone long enough for it to heal. I dressed my dog's tail with an ointment and bandaged it ,and he was OK . but it's probably best to pay the vet's extortionate fees and have it looked at, just to be on the safe side.
