Why does my dog shed so much fur every day even though i brush him?

Answers:
Maybe he does it to annoy you !! Not really - he's just shedding his summer coat and getting his heavier winter one.
animals can shed more when they are stressed.
or maybe he is just growing his winter coat.
You must just have a breed of dog that moults a lot! Next time, get a poodle, they don't moult at all!
There are many reasons but first, what is your dog's breed? By breed, you can figure out what the conditions may relate to it's shedding and therefore a puzzle easier solved.
If he was a "sheep"dog you could knit yourself a jumper
give your dog a shower.gets all the loose hair out that the brush leaves behind.
what breed is it?
Perhaps he is shedding his summer coat. Perhaps you are not grooming him with the correct tools? You have to choose the brush to suit the coat type.
Dogs have seasonal blow outs, once normally in the spring to shed his winter coat and one in the fall to shed his summer coat and develop his winter coat back. So try bathing your dog to help rid of some of the hair. Brush thoroughly everyday. Good luck. it's a pain. I have seen anti shed shampoos to, don't know how good they work, but I do know some people swear by it.
My mother had the same problem. she went to the vet and her problem was poor nutrition. Not that she wasnt feeding her. she wasnt getting the right food. It could be a number of reasons. try changing her food to a top brand like eukanuba. I use it on both my dogs its really nurishing. Also as a bonus to make the coat shiney i put bacon grease over the food. its a great treat for them too.
i dont know my dog does it too
it could be blowing out its coat..
Depending on the breed it's probably shedding the coat for winter. But brushing him should help reduce the amount of fur he sheds if you do it regularly!
Is he shedding more recently than he used to? He could have a thyroid problem. Might want to take him to the vet. As others have said, could also be he needs a different food. Or, could just be in his genes.
It`s moulting season, getting for the winter.
Okay, so I thought that I was going to have this problem, but it resolved itself. My dog is a terrier beagle mix and when I go thim from the pound the fur was literally flying off of him everytime he got up. It was so bad that the first day I literally took a baseball sized mound of fur off of this tiny 13 pound dog!
By now the problem has subsided, I started him on an omega oil rich diet. This seems to have fixed things significantly. Also, I have heard (though not tried it) that if you take a wet paper towel and wipe down the dog once a week, this will dramatically reduce shedding. If the change in diet doesn't work along with the towel trick, don't give up. It may just take around 3 to 4 weeks for the problem to reduce itself to a noticeable degree. Best of luck to you and your doggie!
got a jack and a plummer and got lots of hair all the time but dont worry got a good brush to shift it
my jack russell was washed about 2 months ago and since the hair has been just flying out of him, even when I pat him so last weekend I washed him again and used johnsons baby shampoo and would you believe it not a loose hair since, great, don't know why but im not complaining.
Its the shedding season at the moment so he will do, some dogs are just prone to shedding more than others, stress can make it worse though, try massaging him on the back of his neck each day and evening primrose oil capsules can help to cut the shedding down too, just give him one a day, if they make him a bit loose then one every other day instead, good luck.
i heard that dogs shed due to the weather, but i dont know if its true. my chow dog sheds alot until its about fall time and he grows thick soft fur, til the end of spring and it sheds alot.
I was always told that our gas central heating dries out our dogs hair and thats why they shed so much every day, my dog was constantly shedding her hair even though I groomed her every day.

Also at this time of year they are getting rid of their summer coat getting ready for a thicker coat
That just the bread you have. Just like you I wished i knew how much my dog moults. just get on with it like all the people who have the same problem, but a lot dont mention that they have to hoover a lot more.
