Will a pug get along with my house rabbit?
Answers:
all diff.. but if he know no better then guess it will be ok
is the pug a puppy or is it full grown? My cats get along with my house rabbit. I guess it just depends on the animal and how soon you introduce them.
as long as you raise them together they should get along fine.
my rabbit gets along with both my dogs, since i raised them together since they were puppies.
just make sure to always watch them.
goodluck:]
Maybe
You never know how animals will react to each other, I suppose its just a case of trial and error and keeping a very close eye on the situation.
If they are introduced slowly, and you don't leave them alone.they could possibly hit it off. My rabbit will happily "hang out" on the front porch all day with the two cats and the schnauzer!
yes.but the rabbit might not get along with the pug
should be OK. just treat both gently and keep an eye on them to begin with
I would say No. Pugs are very playful and want to be silly. I would be afraid of your pug hurting the rabbit.
Depends on the pug. Would recommend going to an animal shelter, they know their animals pretty well and can tell you how they get along with other animals, especially ones they might normally see as prey.
what a pug 306 o yeah deffo
should do, but always keep an eye on them.
First what type of pup is it
it it is a hunter jack russel and other terriers they might use their natural instints and injure your rabbit.I have a German shephered staff cross nd hejust sniffed them but just try to intoduce them .but beware a little shock.could kill the rabbit without any contact.
Hi Adz
so that's why you ask your last Question, I am guessing now you have a pug and you want to get a rabbit, just keep an eye on you rabbit as they love to chew things. Even your Pugs tail
If you get a puppy and bring it up in a way that teaches it to leave the rabbit alone and be gentle you will have few problems. They will get along well and may even become friends.
However, I would not leave your pug alone with your rabbit because accidents do happen and your pug has instincts that may kick in and he may chase and frighten the rabbit or even playfully nip it. Your rabbit has little defence against a boisterous puppy.
Equally, some rabbits can be quite agressive to other animals on their territory. An cross bunny could easily hurt an inquisitive puppy.
Take it slowly and make sure that each animal has its own space.
I cant say with absolute certainty that your pug will get along with your house rabbit. When our mini lop house bunny was 6 months old, we brought a 7 wk. old female pug into the home. At first, the bunny was curious about the puppy and they would play together, but eventually, the bunny kept trying to mate with the pug. We had to have the rabbit neutered, which stopped this behavior. Now, the pug is bigger than the rabbit and they still romp and play, chasing eachother around and under furniture. If the pug could get into the bunny cage, I think she would do it so that they could sleep together. Good luck and I hope I've helped a little.
thats an odd one - you'll never know until you try. Cats & dogs can happily co-habit together so I don't see why not. Just make sure when you introduce them it's under supervised conditions, both leashed etc & if the dog is new try it with a muzzle just to be on the safe side. Let us know if it works :o)
