I have just got a full breed pom puppy?

he keeps getting sick is this normal or should i take him to vet

Answers:
I have a Pom myself lovely dogs!
The Poms have sensitive stomachs and it could just be the food as they tend to get sick naturally when young , but if it does persist you should really bring him to the Vet just to be sure!
Good luck
Congratulations on getting the Pom, they are lovely little dogs. Please take him to the vet without delay or telephone the breeder for advice. Do it NOW in case it is something serious and he could die.
might b what ever ur feeding him on poms r one of the most sensivtive breeds even slightest change in diet will upset their stomach best take to vet and get checked over, i have one and can only feed it chicken and rice anything else makes its sick. good luck
He may just be upset by something as simple as the different water you have or the stress of moving.
If you got him from a source you think is reliable then i would give him a couple days before you take him to the vet to see if he has settled down, if there was something that made you think the breeders were a bit dodgy then i would take him to the vet
by getting sick what do you mean? sickness like vomiting, or other illnesses.
if your puppy is vomiting it could be caused by a sudden change in diet, unless of course you continued with the same food the breeder fed him/her on..
has your pup been vacinated?, if not i would vist the vet asap, your puppy could have contracted a potenially letal disease called parvo virus, which effects your dogs immune system..this is normally a killer in puppies, and i would be concerned, especially if your little guy has been around other bigger adult dogs..
please go to the vet soon, whatever you decide.
It is never normal for a dog to be sick regardless of breed. Puppies can have all sorts of illnesses. Has he been vacinnated? And by sick, well sick in what manner? If he has some kind of reocurring illness a vet should be consulted. If by sick you mean he has diarreah or something i would look into his diet. He could have an allergy. If this is the case it is important to keep your pet hydrated. Look at the base ingredients in your dog food. Try switching to a lamb based food as this often is better for dogs that are allergic to the typical chicken based products.Describe the symptoms and you will get a better response.
Your Purebred Pom shouldn't be getting sick all the time.
What are the symptoms of it's sickness, and have you contacted or taken it to the Vet.
I would do so, BEFORE calling your breeder. Not all breeders are reputable, and you may not get the correct information from them.
i think you should take him to the vet to see what the problem is with him.
what do u want a medal?
has he been wormed? ring the vet.
Awesome! I have a pom too, he is 9 years old. Poms have very sensitive stomachs. So make sure you are feeding him right. They are very selective in their diet too. So you have to figure out what best agrees with him. If he is getting sick very often, and since he is new, and you dont know exactly what would agree with him, taking him to the vet would be a good idea.
