I'm moving home and want to sell my fish i have two 12lb ghost carp can anybody tell me what there worth?
Answers:
I don't know exactly what they are worth, but I do know that they are very valuable - especially if they are 12lbs.
Some people go around stealing Karp because they are so expensive to buy.
Price absolutely no idea, I would have thought this would have been a job for e-bay
Ask at the aquarium section of your garden centre. Or go through yellow pages and ring around. Tip: Ask what they cost, not how much are they worth.
well the fresh water carp is about $25-$60 as a pet; and some carp are exotic so im sure you could do a little more atleast $80-$150 each.
It would help if you would name the species to us.
just to let you know: 7500 dollars for 40lb Big head carp as a trophy.
This is not an uncommon situation and the fish won't fetch a lot alive, but you've a good meal there to enjoy with a few friends.
Wow a 12Ib Ghost carp. ! one is for sale at my local Aquarium went for £700 and that was a small 7Ib..! , Some ( in Hong Kong ) have made £15,000..! but that was a "Marble Red " ..
I think you should get a professional to see what you have.!

Can you but a price on you fish,,, why not give them to someone you know that's going to treat them as well as you did, they need plenty of room for the size of them, think of they way you got them and the way you would want them to be looked after.
Ghost carp, Cyprinus carpio
Ghost carp are produced by mating Koi with Mirror carp. , so they’re often hardier than Koi. They range in colour from pale cream, through to black with varying amounts of orange or metallic flecking on the scales. They’re not as attractive, or as easily seen as Koi, but they are much cheaper.
If you were buying one from a shop, it would cost quite a lot of money - £50 or more.
But people are loathe to buy fish from other ponds as they are afraid to introduce diseases into their own ponds.
Try selling them to a dealer.
What you can do is go to a local fish/pet store and ask them for the estimate for the type of fish.
between £30.00 - £40.00 each if you sold them privately, but if you sold them to a dealer you would only get £10.00 or less each.
