Hi there.antibiotics can make some cats feel nauseated and after a bout with high fever this can make cats feel exhausted. Therefore she may be still recovering from the illness--similar to when we are recovering from the flu we still feel a bit under the weather after the fever broke.
It certainly would beneficial to ring the vet and discuss your concern with them because they know your cat's medical history as there may be more factors about the illness which is contributing to her lethargy and lack of appetite that is difficult to lend any helpful info through UKQnA.com.
Prolly finishing recovering. I would call vet to make sure, however. Antibiotics can make one weak, I do believe.
if you are worried take her back to the vet. I think whatever the illness was she is still recovering from it. When us humans finish taking antibiotics we don't feel great either.
If you just finished giving her antibiotics then why were you giving them to her for. Did she have a upper respiratory infection or what? If she's not eatting it may because just like us she may not be as hunger right now. As long as she is drinking she could be ok. If you feel she more help take her to the VET.
antibiotics knock us (and our pets) quite a bit. your kitty is recovering. am sure she'll be quite herself pretty soon. My cat always sleeps a lot during and just after a course of antibiotics.
ask the vet. What were the antibiotics actually for. What infection did she have?
has she been this way all through the antibiotics? is this something new? give it a couple days to see if she perks back up if you are worried call the vet and ask them about it.
Sometimes antibiotics cause the appetite to slow down. I would check with your vet on that. The vet also has something called a/d which is a canned food. Many cats will eat this when they care for nothing else and it is a high calorie and fat food. Get some from your vet after you have told him of the problem.
I sometimes have fed this to a cat from my finger to "prime the pump" so to speak. She must eat something every day and even a little bit in meals spaced out over the day will help her feel and recover better.
the antibiotics would put her off her food,at least for a few days after she has finished them, but not th blue eyes, i'd ring the vet and get her checked just incase
I would call your vet and have her rechecked. Good Luck.
