How many of you would not clean up after your dog if you thought no one was looking?
Come on, be honest..
Answers:
I always clean up after my dog and have before it became a by-law in our town. Mind, if she is running off lead in the bush off the trail I don't go looking for it. I always carry plastic bags in my coat pocket and it really isn't any trouble to clean up and then carry it to the next garbage can/pail.
It is only decent to clean up. The fines in our town aren't as high in some cities. I found the fines in some places in England were really high.
i never do others dont why should i.lol

I alwas clean up after my pet and if u havent then your detroying our emvorerment!!!!!
I never cleaned up after my dog even when people were looking.
i won't do that i always clean them it is not nice seeing them on the pavement
i don't have a dog.but i think it's disgusting if owners can't pick up their poo..they shouldn't be allowed to own a dog if they can't look after it properly..(including cleaning up poo!)
You`re going to get a lot of answers saying that they would never dream of not cleaning up and how responsible they are. You asked for honestly, not me, it`s gross!
I did not end up on the top of the food chain to clean up after my dog taking a dump.
I don't clean up - if somebody doesn't like it - then they can feel free to pick it up. =)
most of the time i do ,but see loads of people that don't you see them with their dogs on a lead having a **** and the owners looking the other way like its nothing to do with them!!
if in a majorly public place i will pick up my dogs poop. however when on fields, public footpaths etc that hardly anyone uses i rarely pick it up. mind you my dog seems to have a problem in that after a coupla miles walk his poo turns to liquid. kinda hard to pick up if you ask me!
I wouldn't
i would ... i just run away.laughing :)
i always pick up my dogs poo because i would not like anyone to tread in it.
i always clean up after my dog if you dont then your not suitable to have a dog.
you should not have a dog if your not prepared to clean up after it, even if no one is watching, although that said even i wouldn't go into a prickle bush to clean up!
my dog does her own poopa scooping she is very well trained!
if she is having an off day i pick up for her, whether anyone is there or not.
what a daft question. Of course I would clean up. It isn't a big deal or something terrible to do after all. Leaving a turd sitting on the ground is plain anti social and shows that the dog owner has no morals and is totally selfish. Not only because someone will step in it, children get covered in dog shlt and may end up ill, and the rest of us dog owners get the blame. Shows what sort of a low life chav you are if you don't behave responibly.
It depends where it was, if I thought kids would play there I would but otherwise no I wouldn`t.
i always clean up
I never clean up after my dogs when we're home.
Neighbors kids play in my yard altho I have no kids for them to play with.I've chased them off.I've told their parents.I've put up no trespassing signs but they still come.So let them step in it.
I walk my dogs daily in an 1100 acre park where horses are also ridden. My dogs will step off thew trail to go potty. The horses don't leaving us to walk in the mess they leave.
But on vacations I carry baggies and clean up whether it's posted or not.It does'nt bother me to do so either.
If someone makes a comment I just tell them they should be thankful I'm being so considerate as most people would'nt be.
I do. At first I'm ashamed to say I didn't, if i thought I could 'get away' with it, but you do get completely used to doing it. There's no need if you're in the woods or open countryside, but it's really nasty to leave it on the street or in a public park etc. Dog owners need to be responsible. If there's no bin on your walk (a problem I've come across a lot) bag it, hang it in the bushes, and collect it on the way home to sling in your bin. Misbehavin seems to have the right idea.
I do simply because I don't want to walk past my dogs poo tomorrow let alone other people! I don't when he does it in a bush or long grass though.
Sorry but I always pick up after my dog, OK maybe no one is about some of the time or even looking when they are, but there are kids and mothers with prams that go in the park or the moors were I take my dog and its just not fair on them is it, can you imagine a prams wheels going through dog poo and the poor mother having to get it off, gross, same for kiddies shoes, gross, not nice is it, lots of people have light coloured carpets in their homes today too, would you want dog poo on something you have pride in, me neither, get it cleaned up and save the hassle.
This is very irresponsible and lazy. If nobody cleaned up after their dogs we would be dodging mess all day! If you think it is bad now I can promise you the streets would be 10 times worse if nobody bothered picking up. It only takes a couple of seconds to grab a poo bag and scoop it up. Remember also that children may play in the area and it could make them very sick. It will also put people off using the area, so not good for community spirit! If those aren't good enough reasons, you are eligible for a fine if caught. It's as simple as this - if you're not prepared to pick up don't get a dog!
