hamster need animal protein in their food - give a piece of hardboiled egg, some cheese and the occassional bug to supplement the comercial diet.
Remember alway fresh water and good quality hay
yes
Normal, and a really handy little fella he is. At least the moths won't be eating your clothes.
yes hamsters are meat eaters, and anything else they get there teeth into
its not the same i know, but my sisters cat eats moths and spiders and hes 12 years old! I'm sure your hammy will be fine i don't think yer common or garden moth is poisonous.
Yep - wild ones eat bugs rather than 'Harry Hamster Food'
All rats are different
My hamster's never met a moth. How come yours has?
I'm pretty sure this is OK though as they eat crickets in the wild.
Its normal for hamsters to eat insects, don't worry about it. They just don't mention it in the pet care books for some reason - maybe you wouldn't think they were so cute if you had to buy them crickets?
