My cats recently hidden her kittens under the floor boards ,will she bring them back up again?

Answers:
I'm sure she will. She's just keeping them safe.
Yes, they will eventually come out but be patient it may take sometime for them to come and face the world.
Let's hope so!!
Yes, I'm sure she will because i think that is just a safety issue. Maybe there is another cat scaring her? Or just someone that scares your cat. That will make her feel threatened?
she may not. How did she manage to get under the boards in the first place? Do you live in a hovel? Why did you not prepare her a safe place to have the kittens? How come you never had her spayed? You will have to take up the floorboards and remove the kittens to a safe warm place with the mother.
Yes she will bring them back up when they are old enough to be out and about.. You were apparently touching them to much is why she hid them.. Momma cats unless you helped them deliver don't like there babys touched.
If you want them back above the floor boards and to be able to play with them later, get a box put a blanket in there . reach under the floor boards get her out and put the babys in the box with the blanket put the box with babys in a closet somewhere that they will feel safe and not have people around them and pretty soon the little one when they start walking will be coming out on there own.. try to have contact with them soon if you want to keep them or they will turn wild.. and not let you touch them..
nothing worse than a pissy cat in the house.. good luck in catching them..
Of course she will - when she is ready. Obviously, Mum thought her kittens needed a lot more peace and quiet.
Definately. She is just being a protective mum, which is her job! Mine hid them under the bed. They came out of their own accord before long, when they wanted to explore, however much she tried to keep them under there. Lucky you, having kittens is the best thing, watching them develop etc. Lovely.
yes they will be fine.put food water and a litter box by the openning. the kitten will start coming out as they get older.just wait you will earn there trust.if you try to move they you will scear and piss off mom.and who knows where she will try to move them next.
Whatever you do dont try and go and get them as the mother will feel threatnd and eat her kittens (im not being sick, its true). You could always leave them down there then they will form a cult and rebel against the cats who live differantly to them which could be interesting to watch.
they will most likely come up on their own,but please sterilize your cat
i would suggest to try and get the kittens, but put the mother in a nice quiet room, so she feels safe and if she trys to move them again u know they will not come to harm. try and get something that that will cover them eg a box.
its natural instinct for them to hide the young so yes she will do but you need to get under the floor boards in case one dies or for more important reason fesses.
you do not want problems with illnesses
it also encourages rats etc
you need to find a quiet place for her so she can look after them ie behind the sofa in a box etc.

advice have the snip
She'll probably accompany them till they're older.
unless it's her first litter. then, sorry, they're gone.
Yes she is just following instinct and keeping them safe from danger. All baby animals are vulnerable to predators so it is natural for parents to keep them hidden - even in the domestic setting. They will start to venture out with their Mum when they are a little older.
Yes, she is just acting like all female cats that have children.
yes, it is a case of mother knows best. Mine had hers in an Ug boot - despite the cosy, clean expensive new bed we got her!
why dont u lift the floor boards up and rescue them.i think she wants to keep them safe or they might die down there
Your cat probably moved her kittens because she felt they were threatened or likely to be disturbed where they were, she will probably move them back up when they are older, they will start to venture from the nest at around 6-7 weeks, ideally they would be up sooner than this as there are probably lots of hidden dangers under the floorboards such as wire and little nooks and crannies. It would be best if you brought them up before this if she will allow you to prevent them being hurt.
she will bring them out when she is ready. if u can reach in and pull them out. get a box and place ure cat and her kittens in a quite place away from children and anywhere that is busy in ure house.
my cat took her 6 kittens upstairs one nite and had placed them under my sons bed. y? cause she is a nervous cat and as they were in the frontroom(where she choose to give birth) it was too busy for her.
probaly not you do need to get them out we breed cats ourself and goodness knows what will happen to them. there are hot pipes and everything under there get them out a.s.a.p
Yes im sure she will, shes just protecting them. my cat moved her kittens every couple of days, her fav place was beside my bed on the floor under the bedside table.
well yes they should it depends if you leave them alone and give them space anyway how the hell did they get there
It's probably warm un cosy for them, as long as she is spending time with them to feed etc i think they will be ok
