..My kitten's whiskers look like they have been cut?
Is there any sort of whisker deformity that this is due to?
Thanks in advance - I'm so fed up of being blamed for cutting his whiskers.

If you have kids, ask them!
Did you cut his whiskers off though?
my sister had a cat with whiskers on one side of his face only so i wouldn,t worry..probably just a gene thing and as long as he is healthy then it shouldn,t be a problem
GIVERNY, SOMEONE IS CUTTING THE POOR KITTY WHISKERS, MY SON DID TO MY CAT, HE CUT ONE SIDE OFF AND LEFT ONE SIDE STILL ON , AND IF MESSED UP HIS BALANCE, HE ALSO SHAVED THE CATS TAIL AND LEFT A FURRY PIECE ON THE END. MY POOR WHITE FURY FAT CAT.
Hi Giverny, Do you have the kittens mommy! If you do sometimes the mommy cat will chew the whiskers on some of her kittens.I don't no why,but she does.If you don't have the mommy cat,is there a younger brother or sister in the house? If so,that's the person you want to talk to.As far as i no,there's no whisker deformity.
Clowmy
sounds to me some1 is cutting them off. i wouldnt worry as they grow bk (mum told me lol cause i did it to my cat) as long as hes healthy dont worry just try and catch the person whos doing it
Most likely some idiot cut them. But the good news is they will grow backin a few months.
i expect some child has 'cut the cats whiskers'.as to say.
my moggies nine years old and was born with out whiskers
first just show your cat to the vet, so he can rule out anything wrong with him, maybe his hair is just falling out, or he is bitting them,
or maybe someone in your family is pulling a prank on you.
better to show to the vet
Does your kitten meet up with other cats I have 4 here and sometimes my siamese chews the ones of the others and its looks like they have been cut. It may have been done by other kittens in the litter.
Well he didn't chew them off and he isn't allowed out. By process of elimination then someone in your family has cut them off. This is worrying because it means that within your immediate family you have a dangerous animal abuser who is likely to harm this kitten severely. Your parents need to get the animal out of the house and give it away for it's own safety.
hi
my kitten had the same problem turns out when she was playing she was chewing her whiskers off they grew back though
they sometimes break off - don't worry. They hurt if you step on them with your bare feet, though.
leave the whiskers cut off its nuts
