if you had a large enough yard and enough vegitation that their diet consists of i think they might make a good pet. other wise no because it would be cruel to keep a large animal in unfit surroundings.

Elephants are, in fact, the best pets you could possibly have. They are very easy to maintain and extremely clean. All you need is a litter tray, a water bowl and a bag of peanuts. In fact the elephant is the best "starter pet" you can get. After the elephant you can go to the more high maintenance pets like hamsters, budgies and cats.

No, because if you have to take them to the vets they invariably sh*t on the back seat of the car. And boy can those suckers sh*t!

Truthfully, I've heard that elephants are very attentive and learn quickly. But cleaning up after one and feeding it would be a big chore! Not to mention the space you would need!
yes but you must make thier cage is cleaned out at least once a week and have plenty of fresh fruit and vegtables

Yes, but remember it takes 3 moves to get an Elephant into a refrigerator(open the door, get the elephant inside, close the door) and another 4 to replace it with a giraffe!(open the door get the elephant out, get the giraffe in, close the door)

Seriously..do you have the space for an elephant? If you have enough space for that elephant, food, and if you support cleaning everyday 2-3 kg of elephant poo, they make good pets.
