How do pigeons navigate there way home?

By their sense of direction. Much like a compas does when you are out hiking and depending on it to tell you which way NORTH SOUTH EAST and WEST are.

Truth is pigeons have great vision, they use sight to recognize landmarks, similar to what humans do.

This question was asked in our local pub to a pigeon fancier. His answer was quite simple, he asked how we found our way home at night and suggested that the pigeons do the same.
Something to do with magnetism as they can get lost if there's a magnetic storm. Others use an A-Z, a compass worn round the neck can help too.

I found a racing pigeon on a dark cloudy day, I brought the pigeon to my house and let it stay so that it could restore its health and get a good supper.Later that week the sun finaly came out, the pigeon flew around my house all the cloudy days but when it was realy nice and no clouds it flew back home.
Pigeons do have great eye sight.
