This question made me laugh so hard when I read it because my husband and I are quite possibly the most typical "talkers" you would expect of a man and a woman. He says what he needs to say in about a sentence or two. and then I have my turn and 30 minutes later (with some tears, usually) I'm done. For some reason when I need to say something I feel compelled to give the reasons WHY I feel it and then the reasons behind the "why" reasons. ridiculous, I know. So I would say you are totally normal.
I am the wife.. and yup I would say that is pretty much the norm
I'm a woman, and so I have no wife, but I have a female roommate who is perhaps the most irritatingly talkative woman alive. I have sympathy for you. Some women just talk too much.
Women have to go into complete detail for men to understand what they are telling them.

Some women talk too much, but probably in part because their partner doesn't talk enough. I know I like a good stimulating conversation from time to time and sometimes my husband doesn't deliver and it drives me up the wall =P

Well, my husband and I had words earlier today, too. I just wish I could've gotten to use mine, that's all.
My wife said .......... sorry it would take to long to type it all, and i can't get a word in edge-ways.
the words my wife has with me are the most annoying that you can get ,it is that she sees you are very interested in a tv prog.and she will start as though she has been programmed to do this and does not stop. I know, why not tell her, because I love the wee chatterbox.
I like to explain clearly to my husband what his crime is - so that he understands and never does it again! Obviously he is so obtuse that he needs in thoroughly explained.
BTW - the most talkative person I know is a man. He never allows anyone a chance to talk and never stops to draw breathe. He is a right pain and we all avoid him.
