What is the best dog to have in a small flat that dont malt and is good with kids?
Answers:
Miniature poodle, Friends got one, just gorgeous! :-)
Miniature Pincher. My best friend has one and he is great with kids and other animals. He also doesn't shed.
A porcelain dog.
A hot dog with onions, at least my kids love them !
check akc.org they have a "test" to show what dog would best fit into your lifestyle
a toy one. or nintendo dogs.
none. all dogs moult, and no dog deserves to be shut up in a small flat all day. Dogs need to get out and run Get yourself a cat.
You know you might not believe this but pittbulls are really good with kids, they just have a bad reputation because of what humans use them for. The dog isint born mad humans make it.
You can get a Silky Terrier. They are awsome with kids and love to play. They are max 20 lbs and stand about 12 in off the ground.
The English Cocker Spaniel is a pretty good choice. MOST small dogs are NOT good with children and are NOT good apartment dogs. The giant breeds like the Scottish Deerhound and Irish Wolfhound very laid back and actually make much better apartment dogs than the little terriers. Every dog needs exercise, though - even a Yorkie.
And either adopt a rescue dog or go to a really good breeder who cares about where their puppies go and how well they will fit into your lifestyle. A cheap, cute dog that destroys your house or bites your children is no bargain.
Something smaller, obviously - I wouldn't suggest that you get any sort of smaller terrier because they are very energetic and need to be exercised. Have you tried looking into a pug, or maybe a Skipkeye? (I think I spelled that right!?)
Shiztu - not sure if that is the right spelling but they are small & don't shed hairs everywhere & they are nice, friendly & cuddly
silky terriers are good and very protective of kids
i think you should get a ladrador becasue they are great with kids playful and never bark unless there is an intruder. they are very easy to take care of all you do is feed him and make sure he has water the kids will do the rest as in play and love him. they are such a playful dogs. they never bite, scratch or need to be taken out for walks at night just in the morning and supper. i love them they are the best choice for your family and only need baths 2 times a month not a lot of work but a lot of play and love.
hope this helps
I have a little dog he does not moult and he is a
Shih Tzu (you know the dogs with the top knots)
Sully that's my dog does not have a top knot he has a short back and sides lol
he is very good with children likes to sleep on you knee just a lovable dog .
Even though they're big dogs bear with me.. greyhounds. they only need a short run once a day, so are perfect if you don't have much time to walk them, they use their energy is quick bursts, so after their walk, they won't be all crazy running round your flat! They are eally loving pets, great with children and don't moult! Hope this helps love liz :D
A stuffed one
actually the Labrador retriever while being a big to medium size dog can be an ideal apartment dog,the where originally bred to work on fishing boats and are used today as duck dogs which makes them predisposed to sit still in small spaces for along time .they do however need to be exercised and that can be done in any park.they are the best breed there is with kids they
do however like to chew things for their first two years.as for the mini pincher they can be a bit nippy as a breed. the lab will shed a little but not as muck as most breeds.
nothing better than a Bichon Frise fantastic around kids they do not cast their hair just got a brilliant temperment they look something like a poodle.
G to www,bichon Frise /rescue
i thing the best dog you can have is a schnauzera mimiture one so good with kids we got one and he is so good in the in the flat and the best dog for kids i thing

A hotdog with mustard and ketchup.
Get yourself a cat you wouldnt need to walk it you could just sling it out the window when it needs a s..t
if ur flat is small why get a dog why not get a hamster
if ur flat is small why get a dog why not get a hamster
I have a border terrier, small dog very good with my children and not yappy, they are also a very intelligent breed so are very easy to train.
Please consider this decision carefully though, a dog in a flat with no garden will need to be taken out several times a day, it will also need his own space to get away from the children sometimes. ( no offence to your children, all small children can get over the top sometimes which may overwhelm a dog in a very small enclosed area)
papillons. they are small dogs that dont get bigger then about 10 pounds if u feed them right. Mine almost never barks, its a very quiet breed. they dont shed that much either && they are so little, and great with kids. They just want to be petted. google image them && you will see how cute they are! u gotta!
Jack Russell
what about a miniture poodle, their small and don,t moult.
none. Dogs should not be cooped up in flats especially if there are several children and the place is small. How are you going to manage to housetrain it by taking it outside 6 or 8 times a day, while looking after the needs of the children too?
I doubt you will find a reputable breeder willing to sell you a pup in those circumstances and I don't know of any rescues who are willing to place a dog into such a home either. I would wait until you have bought yourself a house with garden,
I think that you cant go wrong with a staffy, as i used to live in a flat and she was more than happy with a couple of short walks a day. They also have really short hair. Staffy dogs also have the nickname of Nanny Dog, as they are very affectionate to children (if brought up in the correct atmosphere)
