Can i put a clown fish in my tropical tank??
Answers:
Only if it knows how to juggle and make other fish laugh.
yes you can as long as you have a reef and its salt water
if it is a salt water tank you can.but clown fish can not live in pure water tanks..it has to be a salt water tank
Not in a fresh water tropical tank. You could though, if you added some sea salt with it.
No I would not becuase It needs more salt.It wont live long if you do.
I think you can, but you should ask the local pet store, they can give a definite answer.
No, not in a tropical fish tank as tropical fish are freshwater fish. As Clown Fish are Marine fish, they need salt water to be able to survive. I don't know how long you have kept an aquarium but marine fish take a lot more looking after than tropical fish so maybe stick with tropical for now then progress to marine fish later on.
Yes but it has to be salt water!
That will cheer all the other fish up no end, just don't let it juggle with them....
Temperatures between 75 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit (24 to 26 degrees Celsius) are appropriate for an Ocellaris Clown. The pH value should remain between 8.3 and 8.4. A specific gravity between 1.020 and 1.025 will work nicely for an Ocellaris Clown. In a fish-only enclosure, the specific gravity should be in the lower end of this range (below 1.023); however, in aquariums containing invertebrates, like anemones, the range between 1.023 and 1.025 would be necessary for the maintenance of those animals. High water quality is important, as is a protein skimmer and the frequent achievement of partial water changes. A hiding place or host anemone or coral should be provided. Most Ocellaris Clowns do not tolerate other Clown Fish, but are reef safe. The diet of an Ocellaris Clown should consist of a wide variety of foods. Both meat and vegetable items should be offered, and many people will also provide formulated foods for their clowns in addition to fresh items.
there is a "Clown Loch" that a is fresh water fish all the others
I know of must be in Salt water
check this website out. www.kokosgoldfish.com. It not only deals with goldies but tropicals as well.
I don't think you can because its a marine fish and the water has to have certain chemicals in it or something like that the guy at the aquarium told me. So i decided not to bother because the fish is too expensive to last 1 day or less.
