Can Guinea Pigs swim?
Answers:
It is unlikely that guinea pigs ever swim in the wild since they come from the Andes which are steep arid mountains with little standing water in which to learn to swim. Jump into one of the few rivers to learn to swim and the guinea pig would either get swept away into the Pacific Ocean or down into the head waters of the Amazon depending which side of the mountain the guinea pig was on when he went swimming. Either way he was a goner. Evolution thus discouraged experimentation with swimming,
they may be able to swim enough to survive but i would doubt if they enjoy it
throw it in the bath and find out!
Only one way to find out!
all animals can swim some not as good as others
no i don`t think so
if pigs can fly then i suppose its not impossible.
NO!
try it in shallow water coz my hamster can swim
you yourselp jump band see it
I very much doubt it.
You could but it in the bath.
Surely all animals can swim, I would have thought. In a flood disaster scenario there are always loads of animals swimming for their lives, just like us humans would!
Anyway, why do you want to know?!
Dunk it in some deep water if it drowns it don't if not it does kk?
NO ! And don`t try
Yes, they can swim.
However, they may not enjoy going in the water at all! Never just place them in water. Introduce them to it by holding them in shallow water (ie.a bit higher than their legs, making sure it's not too hot or cold). Let them take the first initiative to go into the water.
I've included a link, which shows a guinea pig swimming.
I do not know
yes if my hamster can swim and my rabbit can swim i guess guinea
pigs can swim.
all animals swim
some are way hindered by their anatomy
Hurmm. I guess yes
yes Guinea pigs can swim, but i shouldn't let it, it really does not enjoy it.
Sure but like humans not all like it and not everyone does it well. If you decide to try this with your cavy I recommend you use water not much higher than their legs to start with and if your piggie seems to like it let him leaarn in the shallows before very carefully and gradually increasing his water depth.
