Does anyone know anything about a cat breed - Devon Rex?

Answers:
I have two Devons, both under 2 years old, and they are the most magnificent creatures I have ever encountered. I can't even begin to describe how much joy they bring to my life and I really can't imagine living without one ever again. They are a very energetic and playful breed. While they may look a little funny to most people at first, everyone who encounters them loves them. And once you've owned one, regular cats look like their eyes are too close together and their ears are too small. They do have hair. One of my cats has a quite thick coat of cottony soft wavy hair and the other has a very fine but equally soft coat of curlier hair. I am allergic to cats and although the breed is sometimes referred to as "hypoallergenic" I am still slightly sensitive to them, but it's tolerable. Aside from all of this, I can't say enough about their sweet and lovable personalities. They crave human attention and need to be a part of everything you do. I'll stop now because I could go on forever, but if you have any more specific questions, I'd be glad to help. As you can tell, I'd highly recommend making one (or two!) part of your family. Actually, having two is easier because they can entertain each other so you can focus on something else once in a while!
Ugly, ugly furless cats that look like aliens!!
never heard of such a thing
Yes.
Mr. Bigglesworth? The nasty cat that Rachel bought in Friends?

Devon Rex is a great porn name. Totally Hairless, LOL
yes its a breed of cat isnt it?
The Devon Rex is a relatively new breed of cat with a sparse, curly, very soft coat similar to that of the Cornish Rex. The Cornish Rex's coat is unusual because only the down layer of hair is present, the other two layers are absent. More information on the layers is available under Cornish Rex. See also the Sphynx breed for more information on hair-deficient genetics in cats.

The curl in their fur is caused by a different mutation and gene than that of the Cornish Rex and German Rex, and breeding of a Devon to either of those cats results in cats without rexed (curled) fur.

Devons, which are medium sized cats, are often called "pixie cats" or "alien cats" because of their unique appearance. Their uncommonly large ears are set low on the sides of their wide heads, their eyes are large, and their noses are slightly upturned. Their body type is distinctly lightly-built.

The typical Devon is active, mischievous, playful, and very people-oriented. They have been described as a cross between a cat, a dog and a monkey. They are high-jumpers and will try to occupy any space large enough to admit them. They're relatively easy to take care of, but they do shed, and many of those with allergies have found that they are not always hypoallergenic

It isn't hairless, but it has a thin, downey coat, and the hair is wavy, giving it a sort of rippled appearance. They have big ears and eyes and a, small delicate muzzle - kind of a pixie face. They are really good climbers
yes i do what do you want to know. As a breed they have a very short fine curly coat and subsequently need to have sun block applied as they can get it burnt easily, they are also prone to their whiskers snapping as they are a bit fragile. They have largesih heads as they are bred to have specific characteristics they can have some health problems but generally have the same life span as normal cats anyway hope this helps
Vicky and Mcleod have it right - the link provided give details about the cats.

They are adorable, curly-furred little charmers. :-)

(Me? I'll stick w/my Ragdolls - much easier going).
Devon Rex are the first known cat breed back in the Egyptian are. The Egyptian cat statues are Devon Rex. They are hairless and easy to maintain but beware they are very Territorial and will become aggressive when mad or not getting enough attention. Devon Rex's are known for using their tail as a whip when angry. I had two of them and don't suggest owning one unless your into abusive animals. I do give them credit to be one of few breeds that do not mind being walked with a leash and being intelligent enough to learn basic commands.
No but I found this website:
