Cats are the perfect pet. They are loving, clean and independent (in that you don't have to take them for a walk).
If it wasn't for my husband I would have at least two of them.

kittens were on the list of favourite things. They are a very warm and understanding species. Cats challenge us, more then dogs ever will.
I think cats are the perfect creature, domestic and wild. Who watched the documentary about cheetah cubs? simba and toki? who didn't shed a tear at the end of that documentary.
but as for demosticated cats. they are worth every minute you spend with them. but don't forget, not all are as lucky to have a home and love. It makes me sad that some even want to harm cats. they are sooo amazing to us, why hurt them?

Because they are angels without wings. I love living with my two cats. They are graceful, funny, playful, intelligent, sensitive, affectionate, and "perpetual two-year olds."

Because they're sleak and soft, unlike some dogs. They are also agile and so independant it's not funny. Whereas dogs need you every minute of the day. Cats really don't. Although mine does since she's only a kitten at the moment.
Because when God (or whatever Deity or supreme force of creation one believes in) wanted to show his (or her) sense of beauty, creativity & sense of fun he (or she) created the cat. Whatever we may think about any of the creatures who share our wonderful planet, we should not be cruel to any of them.
