Why does my cat use my bed and mat for her toilet areas?
Answers:
Why are you sleeping in your cat's litter box?
Aha! ha! ha! : )
She knows she's better then you and she controls you.
why are you letting the cat do that ? Is her litterbox not cleaned out ? close the bedroom door !
That is disgusting!
The first time any animal did its business on my bed would be the last time it did its business anywhere.
Ok, other than "that's just nasty", here's a real answer:
Your cat either is pissed off about something or..it's time to be spayed/neutered. Close the door to your bedroom, check yourself for whatever your cat might be pissy about (new dating arrangement, working late, changed the cat food..they're weird, ok?)..
why is the cat still alive ??
Does your cat have a litter box? Is it clean? Is there a deep enough layer of litter in it for your cat to dig a hole and cover? If the answer to all of the above is yes, then you have a seriously ticked off cat.
Is is left alone for long periods of time (not just while you work)? Maybe it needs a friend. Does it want to sleep with you and you shut it out of the room? My husband didn't let one cat sleep with us some years ago, because it was a kitten and pounced on his feet during the night. The kitten wanted to be with me. That cat started using his chair for a litter box. After we had a few surprises, like wet seats to his pants, we bought a new chair and the bedroom door got opened. END OF PROBLEM.
They do try to communicate.
Your cat should have its own room to sleep in at night. You don't go crawling into the cat's bed at night, so why are you being disturbed?
As a rural chap in Missouri said to me many years ago, when perplexed at the behaviour of a local, English, lady who encouraged her cats inside - "Why would she do that? Don't you people know that cats is outside animals?". Boot it out, where it belongs, and you'll have no further problems.
I really don't know, but know how you feel. I once owned a cat that got on my bed at night and crapped right on my feet. This happened two or three times and she almost became an outdoor cat instead.
because she obviously isn't trained.she is proberly peeing where your scent is and it is a territory thing.go back to basics and start litter training her again.
Right - My kitten used to do this all the time. I actually put an old sock or piece of old clothing that I had worn (and wasn't going to use again) in her litter tray. I then basically trained her to use the litter tray by plonking her in it everytime I could think of. Cos my scent was in there she was more attracted to it. She then started going on my duvet - so I have since locked her out of my bedroom at night. She comes in for a few minutes before I go to sleep and when I wake up: but the moment I think she's going to do something I pop her back in her litter tray. Its working and I think in a couple of weeks, we'll be totally sorted.
I hope it all goes well for you!!!!
