Phantom pregnancy?

my dog has been artificial inseminated twice which has resulted in phantom pregnancy why is this happening

Answers:
It just means she didn't conceive, she would likely have had the phantom pregnancy whether you bred her or not.
why are you doing that to your dog?
Why would you put your dog through that twice? My old dog had a phantom pregnancy and its a real ordeal for the dog to deal with. If your dog cannot conceive naturally its not meant to happen so leave her alone!
i dont know but you shoul dget her to teh vet to see what is wrong with her.
her hormones will be all over the place with artificial insemination. take a break from it and then maybe try again if you 100% feel its necessary for her to have a litter.
why is your dog being artificially inseminated??

can's she get a boyfriend.
it's easiest for dogs to mind mates.
what the heck?

but, phantom pregnacies happen.
for the same reason as in humans.

mostly jelousy.
i would not try and breed your ***** again as obviously it is not meant to be,once a ***** has had a phantom pregnancy it is likely to happen after every season my own dog is currently going through one now it happens because the dog thinks they are pregnant when they are not.i have the dilemma of whether to spay my girl now as her phantom pregnancy's take alot out of her and it increases the risk of mammary cancer and other cancers.i suggest you think seriously about spaying as well.
She is probably sterile. May be best to spay her.
Well, first of all take her to a vet. Secondly let her rest for a while and try again. I'm sure your dog will get there eventually.

As for everyone banging on about "why are you doing this?!" Er because obviously he's a breeder and he wants puppies from his dog, duh! Perhaps this dog is a fantastic example of its breed and would produce show-stopping pups! I would have thought that this was obvious.
some dogs have phantom pregnancies whether mated or not. it is one of those things in nature.
if a ***** runs with a dog or pack she may mate several times when she is ready, if inseminated she has no say and despite the tests done may not be quite ready. she may even be infertile or producing very few eggs.
if you have not done so get her examined thoroughly by a vet.
next time try her with a dog and see if you get a result.
