What would happen if i injected a hamster with lithium?

Lithium is a human medication and it probably wouldn't do the hamster much good. Alot of human meds are harmful to animals as their "systems" are different to ours.
The SPCA would take it away. And quite right too.
Try injecting yourself with it to find out.
