Why does my Maine Coon follow me around all day and then walks around meowing and jumping up walls?

I do play with her but she wants it all the time and if I am typing or readind she will run up to me bite me and then run off. She is an indoor cat and we have recently moved to a much larger flat. How can I stop her meowing all the time and getting me up at 3am!

awwww she loves you, i don't think there is much you can do except play with her ALOT before bed so she'll be tired enough to sleep through the night
She is getting used to a new environment. I had a maine coon - she was very affectionate and made her presence known. Very similar to the antics you have described - wanted a lot of attention. Buy some handkerchieves, keep them in your pocket.hold them to transfer your scent and Wherever she sleeps or her favourite places leave them at night so she has your scent. They really are like little kids, loving, attention seeking and a very distinct breed and such a princess attitude!!
There are a lot of reasons for cats act out - they could be sick and trying to tell you, Anxious (she is in a new home). My cat started getting really strange lately, he's 18 months old. My vet recommended books from Vicky Halls - The Cat detective & Cat Confidential. It took me reading a few chapters to piece together what his problem was – but I followed the advice and it seems to be working. Vicky Halls is an animal behaviourist and her advice really helped me with my cat, so I would highly recommend her books.
