Looking for a reputable and good dog kennel in North London when I go away?

Struggling to find a nice, safe environment for my dog. Anyone got any tips?

depends on what part of n/london you are. but a place i know of is called
Southend Farm near waltham abbey
I used to live in North London and strongly recommend looking in Hertfordshire and Essex. Its still quite accessible but the kennels are much cheaper and theres loads more space for the dogs. One to check out is the Goddard Vet group kennels. See their website via google search.
Battersea dogs home.
I don't live in London, but the way I vetted kennels for my dog was to just turn up, if they allow you to look round without an appointment then they have nothing to hide, if you turn up and they insist you come back at a later date I would be wary of them, maybe you could have a word with you local vets and see if they can recommend a good kennel for your dog or even the RSPCA might be able to recommend some too, hope you find a nice one for you dog and good luck.
go to the library and ask them for a book called 'the good kennels and cattery guide' if they don't have it, they can order it for you. In it, kennels are rated by people who know, and are given stars like hotels. It's a brilliant book for someone like you. Check out several, make an appointment and ask to inspect them. This is perfectly normal and kennel owners would expect you to. Ask about how ofnet the vet comes, whether your dog will have his diet needs catered for, if he will be groomed and have contact with the kennel maid daily, more than just when she cleans out. Ensure that the kennels have a run attached so that they can come and go as they please. Some kennels will have the radio on in the kennel block to help the dogs feel at home. There should be no bad smells in the kennels either.
Your dog should regard his stay at the kennels as a really good time. When I used to have dogs and boarded when I went away, my dogs couldn't wait to get out of my car as I pulled in the kennels drive. They would be yelping with excitement and greeted the kennel owner like another mummy. This meant that I was happy and relaxed on holiday. You will build up a relationship with the kennel owner over time and be happy leaving your dog. Good luck.
Oh, one more thing. Do a trial when you have found a kennel you like the look of. Leave the dog for a weekend for him to get used to it and for you to judge. Don't choose a kennel based on the lowest price. You are leaving something really valuable to you (not monetary) in their care so choose carefully.
North London is a little built up. Come across the river and into Kent, 10 minutes from Blackwall tunnel, loads of them in the countryside, all in Yellow Pages.
Not sure you would settle in a dog kennel in North London, as for the dog, I'm sure he would love the Hilton. Only joking, lol.
Can you tell I'm bored? x
Theres a very good one in Barking
Try Caple Manor, Kennells and cattery, just of the M25 at Enfield, whitewebbs lane..
The Taj Mahal in tottenham high street...He would make a nice curry!
