never it's just EWE DISGUSTING ETC. I can't imange why somebody would make it or buy it.
Thats very wierd. Where do you find these things?
good god above! its like something out of the Alien films CREEPY SH*T! thats just wrong!!
It must be a fake, surely?
I so hope it is, the alternative is obscene.
Awww. It's cute.
Well, maybe for someone who wants to be a genetic engineer when they grow up? lol.
is that thing for real? Thats just wrong!!
What will they ever come up with next.
bit ugly
I think it's quite cute but I wouldn't give it to children! It would frighten the life out of them!
that thing is a freak of nature and rather sick, it looks like a monster from a B movie or summet, hell no would i buy a kid that hell i wouldnt buy myself it, now ive seen it all on the net wot next blow up dog dolls for horny dogs v . v what is the world coming to!
nasty
Thats awful! Is it a joke? Ohhh it gave me goose bumps, its scary! What will they think of next! x
It MUST be a hoax, surely. They seem to have gone to a lot of trouble doing it!
Is this for real? I think, if it is, that they have gone too far playing GOD. Would never consider supporting such an abomination.
That can't possibly be true! Can it? Weird ****. No I don't think children should have them..
i would not buy it in a million years!!
I don't know if it's real or not but if it is that thing is crazy as hell.
I just looked them up there not real they where maid by some artist to see how people would react to something like that
OMG, that was possibly the most frightening and sickening thing I've ever seen! I cannot even imagine.that is completely crazy! Thanks, but I think I will stick to my cats and dogs and chickens and ducks and emu. There is just something.wrong.I can't put my finger on it.it just feels creepy!
I think it's a joke. You notice there is no place to send in money to order one of these things. And no list of stores where you can buy one. If they were really selling them the first thing you would see is the price.
I don't believe the purpose of this site is to sell these creatures nor is it a hoax. But a site to make one think where research and technology of this nature could lead.
If you go to the About page (link at the bottom of page), there is a blurp at the bottom of the page telling us to stop and think. At the end of the blurp is the word (explanation) which is a link to pages about the site. If you read these pages I think you will better understand the purpose of the site.
i think it's sick too. borders on the same level as cloning i think. i've heard of this stuff being the wave of the future. ARNOLD SCHWARTENEGGER (sp?) did a movie that this type of thing was in. might of been 6th DAY. they did a "clone" thing of his kids dog after it had died.
That looks like an alien baby.
But I don't think it's for real.
thats horrible, how do ppl think of such evil things
Personally thought it was rather gross but my ten year old thought it was cool! takes all kinds huh! Something else to add to his Christmas list!
How strange!
I think the following extracts from the website explain it all. It is to make you stop and think of what hideous things humans are capable of inflicting on this earth, it is to create a debate on how far we we can go before we ruin the earth with our so called designs
To dismiss Genpets as a 'hoax' would be to completely miss the point. The spirit of art is to create an illusion. Genpets is designed 'as is' to help the viewer ponder the idea a bit longer
The question surrounding bioengineering is not in it's positive or negative ramifications, or where it can take us; it is whether or not we are responsible enough to go there
Imagine walking into a department store or any big box store, and while browsing an aisle you find a display where packages hang; which, at first glance, seem to contain large action figures. Upon closer inspection, you realize they are actually bizarre, altered, bipedal mammals sealed in a plastic bubble where they uneasily rest in some kind of induced hibernation.
A series of glowing and beeping heart monitors on the packages gives a hint that they are alive. The rising and falling of their chests as well as their occasional twitching, shaking and clawing, albeit limited by the tie-wraps, which keep them in place, confirms the life of these creatures. They are there, ready to take home and add to your life as the next entertainment gadget; bioengineered creatures, mass-produced, and pre-packaged for your convenience.
I agree with you 100 % i wouldn't buy it for anyone of any age

and give me your opinion i think that they have gone to far and it is sick would you guys buy it for your 4 yr + old or for self?
