I think my cat is incontintent.?
She seems to be leaving small little puddles (1"x1"). She does use her litter box though and wondered if this was normal? She is 12 and we adopted her about 6 weeks ago from the shelter. Otherwise she is a happy healthy cat. Occasionally she meows like nuts and runs up and down the house after going to the toilet which make me think she might have a infection and it hurts when she pees.
Is my logic right? Take her to the vets?
Your advice would be appreciated.

This sounds like a urinary tract problem. Please take her to the vets - she'll thank you for it. Its quite easy to cure but she may need to switch to a prescription diet to prevent the problem repeating. Hope she feels better soon and give her a tickle under the chin from me.
no harm in getting her checked at the vets if you are worried
yep, take to the vet.
Sounds like a urinary tract infection or a bladder infection..trust your gut instinct and take her to the vet!
She may have a kidney or bladder infection- my poor kitty was 12 and recently died from kidney failure- I hope yours is just a bladder infection- Diane=
I would just in case my dog did this and the vet tested her urine (getting the sample was interesting)
yes take to vet as cats get cystitis and that makes them pee usually in soft spots. In fact my cat has been doing exactly the same. See you at the vets!
I would take her to the vets ASAP. My cat was very poorly with a urine infection a while ago and the telltale sign was leaving little puddles. He is a male so i think these problems are more common in neutered males.
He had minerals in his bladder which was causing stones so he couldn't pass wee and had to get catheterised to drain his full bladder.
Don't want to frighten you but i would get it checked out just to keep your mind at rest.
Your logic is very correct. she may have a bladder or urinary tract infection which is actually very common and curable in felines. Take her to the vet as soon as possible. If you have ever had a bladder infection you would be running to take your cat to the vet. cause they hurt so bad!!!
I hope your kitty feels better soon and kudos on adopting!
Sounds like she may have a UTI, take her to the vets to be sure.Good Luck.

I should let the vet have a look at her, they do run round like mad,Lucy our cat does it.
Best of luck with her.
Does anyone know why cats always choose to sit on newpapers/magazines?
what are ducks feet called?
Dogs eat chipped bones.?
My Great Dane has a raise rash around her neck Not sure what it is?
why are dogs so nervous of fire flames and lighter flames?
why are spiders legs so hairy?
Can a dog survive with 2 legs?
Why does my cat look so skinny?
Is my logic right? Take her to the vets?
Your advice would be appreciated.
