How can I find out if there if there is anybody who needs to?
find a home for a basset hound in my local area? My partner had one as a child and longs to give a wonderful home to one.I just dont see this breed anymore

Make sure to send some photos of the dog. Adopters like to SEE what they're adopting.

There is bound to be a Basset Hound Rescue Society - almost every breed needs a rescue organisation.
Try searching the web for one and they might be able to find a Basset in your area.
