What type of dog is best?

Answers:
The most loyal and trustworthy dog is the Beagle. They will stick by you through thick and thin. If the owner dies, they are an example of being heart broken.
a japenese akita
Irish Red setter
Depends, I have a Jack Russell, so Jack Russells are the best!
Well what is your lifestyle? Inactive people would say bulldogs, or tiny dogs are best, but joggers and hikers would need a more active breed.
Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Obedient, loyal & good with kids.
labradors
Beagles!
Define 'best' and you'll get a meaningful answer.

Best for carrying in a handbag - a Chihuahua
Best for obedience - a Border Collie plus other breeds
Best for guarding the home - many dogs, but a Dobermann is great
Best looking - entirely subjective
i would say a we dog .
Depends on your personality and what your expectancies of the dog would be. Are you an outdoors or indoors person? Do you want the dog to run with you, play catch? Good with children or a fierce guard dog? High maintenance or not - grooming? Small /medium/ big dog? Figure that out and rephrase your question
Rat terrier - they will fit all sorts of lifestyles. They can run fast for a long time so if you want to take it out for jogs it will keep up with you. It's a fairly good protector too. my rat terrier will bite anyone who tries to get near me, only because he get's really jealous. He's also a really small dog, so you can take him anywhere. He doesn't eat very much and he's very easliy trained.
in my experience i would say a staffordshire bull terrier. brought up in a loving family they are so placid and they love kids. they are very protective towards the females in the family for some reason. and there great guard dogs.
mongrel
At what?
Irish Red setter, I grew up with them and have a 5yr old now. Very loyal and a great companion. Excellent with kids but yet protective as well. My 1 yr old nephew pulled a clump of hair out of my dogs ear while the dog was sleeping and he never moved an inch.
a stuffed toy one. Less problems with them, no vet bills, no food to buy, dont have to walk them in the rain etc
An english bulldog, cause they are just as lazy as me!! And they are very gentle and good with kids.
A papillion. I have a boy. He is the sweetest thing. They don't get too big. Nick is 8 years old and weighes 10lbs. He loves everyone. He is good for your health because he loves to go on long walks. He is always happy to see me when I come home even if I just went out to check the mail. I can take food out of his mouth. I LOVE my baby boy.
Australian Border Collie
a dog that barks. like u.. kidding. a dog that u lyk would be best for u.. ?
My all time favorite os the German Shepherd.
LAB or LAB mix, smart, friendly, protective of children, and all they want to do is play, my little guy tortures the s%&t out of "HOLLY" (I always stop him and explain that we don't hit animals but, he's 3yrs old). If a stranger approaches him, it's growl city, and a clear warning goes out "HANDS OFF" or I'll bite ! she's never bit anyone but, she's part pit bull (I think), the only danger from this dog is being drowned from kisses, sweet & friendly. Be a sport, go down and adopt one from the pound !
Depends on your personality and life style, and what you expect from a dog. It also depends on your budget and how much time you have to give to the dog each day .There are different breeds and cross breeds so you need to pick one that suits you, not think about what anyone else has got.
I had a staffie until recently. Whilst owning her I became a grandparent 3 times. She was very protective of them and very faithful to me. although we did not get her from a pup she gave us all unconditional love. We miss her so much.
The type of dog that is best for you, depends on your personality, where you live, and what you are looking for as far as companionship. Research the different breeds and see which one sounds like the right one for you. I have two boxers that I LOVE, but many end up in boxer rescue because people don't do their research and end up with a dog that they can't handle. If you really care about animals, do your homework.
For me, it was a mini-dachshund I rescued from neglect. It should always be the dog that needs rescuing the most! You don't have to go far to find it and it can be any/many breeds! You will never be loved like a rescued dog can adore you.
A American pit bull terrier..........
labrador i have recently aquired a black lab and they r one of the most intelligent dogs ive got
for culinary delights i recommend a pug or shitzu. for in your face look at me im a hard man i suggest an irish wolf hound. for cuddlewuddles an kisses sweet, a pitbull terrier. for loyalty get a old english shepdog, takes a kickin and keeps on coming back. or save yourself the bother of having to clean up shi't from the garden or having to pay vets bills and it attacking the neighbours kids get a goldfish instead.

out of the breeds you suggested i recommend a greyhound, at least you can make money from it
It depends if you want a small dog or big dog. High maintenance or low maintenance.

My choice of preference is a Yellow or Black Labrador. Although they do require a very healthy diet to keep them in shape, they are very loving and energetic (but not high strung) dogs. They are very easy to train at an early age and once trained they can even be more fun.
