Our dog, gave birth this morning. The pups cord is still leaking blood. Is this normal?

Answers:
Why not call the rescue group that you got the dog from? I assume it's a rescue since no ethical person would allow their dog to breed without knowing this or without having a better resource than UKQnA.com. . .
I would think so, but if you are still worried, call the vets in the morning and ask for advice.
somehow i doubt it why don't u call the emergency vet number that i am sure u have for those emergency issues.
the vet would be the best person to call . sorry
It's normal, but if you're concerned (and if the dog will let you) you can tie off the end of the cord with a string. The cord will eventually fall of on its own.
I've seen it with many dogs. All the mother dogs I have seen just keep cleaning them and licking up what ever they see. The mom usually knows how to take care of them. The mother will bleed for a little while too.

I think they should be ok, but yeah, if you're worried then call your vet. That's what they're there for. Good luck!
please grab some sewing thread and cut a piece off and tie the end of the puppies cord with it and leave it alone trust me my wife and i are dog breeders we know
Not too worry..Mom will take care of it. Give her some time as she's proabably still tired, then she'll be able to care for each one of there individual needs..
Now, if tomorrow it's still leaking I would be concerned.but for now let nature take it's course.
Congradulations on the new babies.
Goodaytoyou! ! ! !
This is very normal don't worry about it the mother will take care of them,Congratulations
it's possible especially if mum cleans them regularly and is a bit rough if it hasn't stopped tomorrow i agree with some others and ask a vet
the mum will take care of this, when she is feeling up to it, if it continues though than you should get some advice from your vet
congratulations too
not normal but as suggested a bit of cotton should be fine as cord will shrivel and drop off soon enough but puppies dont contain that much blood so dont delay and if in doubt pop them down to your vet
who cut the cord was it the dog or did you hav to help, Sometimes the cord nedds to be tied to help stop this .If you are unsure always get in touch with your vet
i realy think you should call the vet to be on the safe side no matter what others say to you we dont know how much blood so for the sake of the pup call the vet i would if i was you normaly the ***** cleans them but dont take risks its not worth it and good luck with the pups ( from a reg breeder of bichon frise) unles you know what you are doing dont use not cotton or string you could do more harm than good if you dont know what you are doing
