When a cat looks in the mirror, what does it see?

Does it see another cat? Does it understand that it see's itself?

Answers:
When all cats i ever had, almost ten, looked at the mirror for the first time they thought it's another cat and they started attcking and producing offensive sounds. Second time isn't better. By the fourth time they get used to the reflection in the mirror.

I don't think they get that this is actually them. I think they just get tired of the other "stupid cat that does the exact same movements and move in the direction they move in and never attck"
it sees it self
it see a cat
It probably thinks its looking at another cat since they tend to play with it.
Itself but at first it does not recognise it
Probably thinks what a handsome feline that is
i dont know
Cat’s whiskers
it see's itself! cats dont understand they have no brains lol
try putting a dot on its nose. If it ignores the dot it thinks it's reflection is another cat but if it puts it's paw to its nose i reckon it knows that it is it's reflection
itself
The cat behind the mirror.
It sees a cat. It has no understanding of the principals of a mirror.
a cat or if you put a picture of something else on it it will see that
When they are kittens they seem to see another kitten to play with but as they grow older they tend to ignore it, perhaps they recognise it as just a reflection of themselves.
the cat recognizes that it is not another cat which is
probably why they will usually take a swipe or two at it
with a paw and then go on.
no it see's u standing behind it, peeing ureself laughing at its rediculous reflection !
a mirror
another cat probably..but if a cat is smart enough it will get the point
doubt it..
The same as a dog and you and i see an image of itself, unless its a Vampire Cat
It sees another cat. Cats are incapable of recognizing themselves in the mirror.
another cat becuase my cat tends to hiss and tries to hit it.
it sees another cat cause usually it starts playing with the mirror so it probably thinks its looking at another cat.
it thinks it is seeing some other cat !!
Alice.. possibly the future. who knows? Funny creatures cats..
i think it sees its immortal enemy haha
Lots of cats just ignore their reflection. Mine tends to look for a second when I put him in front but he just doesn't care.
what do you think it sees a rhinocerous?
A cat will probably think it is looking at another cat and will either play with its own reflection or feel threatened by it and attack its own reflection. Some cats are a little more intelligent than others and will just ignore its own reflection
