Can house fly bite?
Answers:
no, houseflies just throw up digestive juices and suck them back up. Haven't you watched the Fly II? Horseflies which are alot bigger on the other hand, do bite and can hurt. They usually aim for the highest point on your body so you'll probably be alright if you wear a hat.

if you like bugs.. a really good informative site is:
House flies don't bite. Horse flies don't exactly bite either; they have a sharp tube, called a proboscis on their heads. This tube is used to penetrate skin and extract blood, which passes all manner of potentially harmful bacteria into the victim.
no
nope
only if it has teeth.
Ordinary houseflies do not bite, but there are several similar-looking flies that do. Deerflies, small brown flies that can easily be mistaken for light-colored houseflies. They bite hard and leave a welt. Yellow flies are harder to miss. They are a bright yellow-green and live in the Southeastern United States. They have a bite than draws blood and leaves a welt that itches for weeks. They also happen to be very resistant to most bug repellants.
Horseflies, previously mentioned by others, do bite but are 6-7 times the size of a housefly. They like shiny or wet surfaces, so swimming out on the river in the summer is always punished by a dozen hungry female horseflies. They have a bite that's almost as bad as a yellow fly.
no
No, they don't have biting mouthparts. They suck up their food through a tube! If you've been bitten it was probably a horsefly, they are bigger than houseflies and often brightly coloured.
