You should feed him at a constant rate everyday! how would you like it your mom feed ya a meal on tuesday, a sandwich on thursday etc.
parhaps hes growing or filling himself up ready to hibernate
Yes it is natural. Like most animals it has an instinct to eat as much as possible in order to survive in times of famine. Regardless of how much it will eat, you should feed it on a set schedule in order for it to become more tame. Otherwise you may over fead it and it will die.
It it typical of them to eat the whole body of prey offered. I would suggest you vary his diet some, to include items such as waxworms, silkworms, mealworms and possibly pinky mice when he is large enough. Also you didn't mention dusting or gut loading the prey items. This increases the nutritional value of the items offered.
That's fine, I would offer an extra cricket at every feeding, to find his best amount and then continue from there.

And don't listen to these dipsticks, you will find a some point that he stops eating, don't panic as he will probably be due to moult, just make sure if you have never seen him do this that you keep his temp even, and don't knock his viv during the moult, as it's a very delicate time for him.

Good luck :-)
It's possible that you own a very rare variety of tarantula, known as the Blondum Piggusi Tarantulinium.

They can be extremely expensive as they are usually only found in the jungles of Borneo.

There, they have been known to eat a variety of foods including the toes of native porters whilst on safaris.

The literal translation of the Latin "Blondum Piggusi Tarantulinium" is "My spider is a bloody pig."
this is very normal for tarantulas to have obsessive eating habits. al it is doin is growing. you should try feeding it more than it usually does and then cut off the food a little bit and it should be back to normal
Totally ok you cannot over feed a tarantula, if its a juvenile its just eating more as its growing.
if its a teenager its probably a girl, males dont live that long, you cant over feed a tarantula, my chilean rose hasnt eaten for 5 weeks, its either the change in season or hes going to moult.
I would offer a bigger prey item every 2-3 days try a large locust, the tarantula will over power and eat anything bigger than itself.
Like most teenagers hes growing..if hes hungry he will eat!
yea, i'm guessing teens of every species eat a lot..or not enough..in your case, a lot
:D
try feeding it hopper or fully grown locusts or you taranula might be ready to shed its skin
