Can anyone recommend a dried dog food for sensitive/allergic dogs under a year.? We are in The Netherlands.?

Our dog is a 9 month old wheaten terrier (female). She has suddenly developed diahorrea after eating an expensive brand name dried food.

Answers:
As mentioned James Wellbeloved and Burns are very good. IMO best on the market just now is Royal Canine. They do breed specific foods, is hypo-allegenic and glutton free. Also preservative free.

I suspect your dog got diahorrea because you didn't change her food gradually. When you introduce a change of diet ALWAYS do it gradually over 4/5 days mixing the new diet with the old one and slowly reducing the old and increasing the new.
No offence intended but I meet lots of people who don't relise this when they change their pets food. :-)

PS Pedigree and the more common makes are full of chemicals and preservatives - I wouldn't give them to my dogs.
I think Solid Gold distributes there.. Otherwise, I don't know what brands are availble to you..but check out Solid Gold's website, and see if you have local distributors> http://www.solidgoldhealth.com/stores/.
here is a link for international
well im not sure whether you can get james well be loved there but that is espeicially for sensitive/allergic dogs and they do treats and it does come in puppy food aswell
I THINK THE DOG FOOD NAMED "PEDIGREE" WILL DO FINE.GOOD LUCK.
Not sure if you can get this but Burns dog food is really good.
We have a similar problem with a terrier. I have found he can tolerate Purina biscuits and is fine as long as we keep him away from all tinned foods. We have resorted to cooking chicken legs for him (and removing from the bone), rice and some minced raw meat. This seems to work fine. Do hope you find this of some help.
There is a website www.wellbeloved.co.uk , they do natural foods for pets, in particular those with allergies. I'm not sure if they do mail order to the Netherlands but it'd worth a try!!
